Willk - yes I agree many probably are thinking that; but its still not up to us to spend anyone else's money.

Some people on here moan about the cost of an away game , then complain that someone else isnt spending thousands of pounds on the club they support, Do as i say not as i do springs to mind.

Sad that one weeks wages of Sanches could save a whole team from folding

Hartlepool are not in danger of folding because of what Sanchez earns, they are in danger of folding because the owners spent money stupidly. If you had a situation where the likes of Hartlepool were bailed out by a wealthy footballer, that would just encourage stupid spending; after all why be frugal if you are going to be bailed out?

Sad that one weeks wages of Sanches could save a whole team from folding think the problem is a little more complex than that. clearly they have not restructured quickly enough after getting relegated last season. Not sure what the full amount to get them back on an even keel would be, in the millions I suspect. they have a lot of work to do over the coming months.

It's not complex at all, football is going down a path of having the same 5 or 6 teams winning everything and having all the money and the rest just making up the numbers, I am an Ipswich. Fan brought up in Bobby Robson era when they had a chance of winning the league along with a number of teams, that has gone forever and. I moved to Southampton and spent years watching them and again they had a chance of winning something, then the money come in from TV and foreign owners and not only do teams Not have a chance they charge the earth to watch them have no chance, for teams like Hartlepool what future have they as there is no where to go but down, to survive you either like Eastleigh need a rich owner or need to have football see that if things don't change and money spread around or have salary caps there won't be many teams left, and that affects a community. That's why I think these overpaid players should put the money in the buckets on Saturday not fans like me. I'm at a point where I don't care about the Premiership as we all know the top 6 and one of these will win the cups as well, I enjoy watching Eastleigh as each week I have no idea what will happen and I really enjoy it, especially last few games. and it doesn't cost the earth, plus the players are honest hard working. See you all Saturday

Didn't Leicester win the league recently?

Yes Leicester did and that made sure the big 6 spent more and ensure it doesn’t happen again. Chester now in danger of going under, does that mean 2 buckets tomorrow. There must be equal money (like NFL), so teams that do go bust is down to bad management not just the way it is, where would Eastleigh be without SD.

I am all for supporting your own club but Im not in favour of holding collections for others. This hasnt just been sprung on Hartlepool its been a long time coming. The latest investor to look at Hartlepool who pulled out did so because he is a business man and could not get to the bottom of their financial issues. That means they have no viable future so its filling a bath with the plug out. They have to start from fresh like others have. I wish them well

Work with Hereford fan, after what they went through, again bad management and then going down to 9th tier, says have to suck it, but he goes every week and enjoys the NL scene, I didn’t realise that there was only 1 English person involved in Arsenal v Chelsea match on Wednesday, that is players, manager and owners, we have sold our soul to money, and don’t care who owns the clubs either. NL thank goodness hasn’t and gone that way and is why I don’t care about Premiership anymore.

Let's not have anyone fighting with the away fans tommorow at this game.

Don't see why there should be any fighting - we should be sympathetic to their plight.
And after a tribute to Derik Brooks before the game, we should be in an even more sympathetic mood.
The stewards might have some work to do, though, with protests, flares....
As for the game, hard to say - their predicament off the pitch might inspire them to produce a rousing finale off it, or a damp squib.

There were actually about 1/2 dozen if you include the subs, and 2 on the field - Barkley & Willshire, and i'm not sure what the nationality of the players has to do with the bad financial management off the field? But I do agree that the Premier League is more of a business than a sport nowadays, and that is why I turned my back on it nearly 20 years ago.

All footballs a business, if a club wasn’t generating money it would close down
