Theres a lot worse things happening in this world to worry about than getting your knickers in a twist about ladies day at Sutton. Sutton can do what they want and good luck to them.

Can’t believe £15 the reason women don’t want to spend their afternoons standing on wet, windy terraces in the freezing cold watching utter turgid rubbish listening to old men swear and moan.

Hope any Eastleigh ladies who went thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will rush back for more enthralling entertainment Believe it or not, I think you’ll find that we’re at most matches Willk. I have and always will go and support the team - win, lose or draw. My fairly recent first few seasons saw the club climb from the conference south to the conference premier play offs and we had some very special FA cup runs under RH and, later, RM (the less said about MA the better). I’m under no dissolution though - we are truly in a relegation battle which is where we were heading last season. RH stated after Saturday’s game that keeping us safe last season was his greatest achievement - even surpassing his above mentioned successes in his last spell. The man certainly has passion and loves the club, but the jury is out as to where we go from here with relegation a real possibility. Plus, if Justin Edinburgh makes an impact with Leyton Orient, that’s another side currently below us who could gain momentum. January sees the real possibility of our loan players departing which would be disastrous. Every side we play has more pace and I really cannot see who is going to score without Ben Williamson. McCallum hasn’t looked fit since his return and I’m struggling to see what Zebroski has to offer (aside from a half decent performance at Halifax last week). Also, why do we not utilise the width of the pitch??!! We have some pretty big clubs in the area and I cannot understand why we are not utilising some of their up and coming youngsters to give them regular appearances and to add pace to our squad. Southampton have certainly bred a lot of talented young players in recent years.

So I see Eastleigh v Guiseley this coming Saturday is a Ladies' Day..... wonder how many more spectators we'll get?
Anyone here going to boycott it, after all that was said on this thread when Sutton did it?
Anyone here planning to invite their wife/partner/lady of choice to their first Eastleigh game?

I'd forgotten how seriously some people had taken this, the thread is hilarious.
My better half would not be dragged along even if they offered free wine before during and after, but if it works then fair play to the club for trying, forecast is for cloud and a balmy 5 degrees so weather could be worse for January!!

The cost is not the prohibitive part. The fact its cold, wet and extremely tedious/boring I think is the major problem.

I would humbly suggest that virtually all "anti" posts were made by contributors with their tongues firmly in their cheeks.

www.eastleighfc.com/ladies-day-v-guiseley/This Saturday it’s Ladies Day at Eastleigh Football Club – meaning FREE entry to all ladies and girls for our National Leauge fixture against Guiseley AFC. To take advantage of this brilliant offer, there is no need for a ticket – just walk up to the turnstiles and you will be admitted free of charge. The offer is available to supporters of both Eastleigh and Guiseley. We look forward to seeing another bumper crowd at the Silverlake this weekend – spread the word and get behind the Spitfires!

Hope somebody did, otherwise there wouldn't be much point in having it! The club should be interested in knowing if it was a useful marketing exercise.
