Just popped onto the forum to see if any chat that's constructive, well goodness me, you guys, really? How embarrassing, it's like school kids, pathetic. I like a bit of banter but come on, this is ridiculous, we all like to comment and express opinions but it should be regarding EFC . Some people seem to live their lives on this forum, maybe just use it for what it is meant for. We all like chat re team, ground etc just keep it to that .

feel like all these points lost could cost us come the end of the season can't remember the last time i saw us win at home In Richard Hill's words... we can't win the play offs in November, its not April yet... that was a great point... considering we were missing players through injuries... no we can't win the playoffs but we can seriously dent our chances of making them now by dropping points. I fear we might be out of touch by Xmas. 5 wins out 18 so far and we probably need to win over half our remaining games to make it, that was a great point - is that sarcastic? at home to a team in the drop zone having been 2 up?! not saying hill out, just being realistic about where we are right now

I agree with many comments on here re Saturday. There were some very good performances through the team but we lost sharpness and initiative as the game went on. I believe most people can see the weaknesses that we have in the squad and we do need more strength in depth. It's fair to say though that there were no passengers. The whole team worked hard and were totally committed. People have to be realistic in their expectations though. The level has been lifted enough to hopefully make us safe but it will take longer to turn a sow's ear into any kind of purse, silk or otherwise. Just having money doesn't cut it, as the owner has demonstrated. We have one or two very expensive millstones around our neck.
Having said all that I wouldn't yet rule out a play off place! It will need the retention of the excellent loanees we have beyond January, plus some inspired recruitment around that time in key positions. Plus of course keeping those excellent players we do have throughout the squad fit.

I wouldn't rule a play off place out, and \I wouldn't rule out a relegation battle either; I do however think both are unlikely. I can see us coming 11th. If we can have a really good run in the Trophy, I'll take that and I think we will have a solid foundation for next season.

Totally unpredictable. Everything can happen. Pointless talking about ifs and buts-we lose to bottom of league Solihull, we beat 2nd place Macclesfield, we draw at home to lowly Chester...all of this after being outplayed by 2 leagues below us Hereford in the cup. Anybody want to analyse that?

Yes.... we're unpredictable! But predictable in our tactics? I think we have one player who bucks this trend - Ben Williamson. I think he's a bit like Vardy - he runs a lot, he hassles players, he gambles on situations.....
Maybe we've also become better away from home now where there is less pressure to take the initiative? I'm mostly concerned as to why we seem either to fade near the end of games (or even both halves, v Gateshead) or, as soon as we get a decent lead, sit on it.
I pretty much agree with michaelefc's assessment, but have we EVER taken the FA Trophy seriously as a NL club? I've never bothered watching Eastleigh in the Trophy (since Cambridge in 2013-4) because they always seem to play a weakened team. I still remember the disappointment and anger of the fans who went to Harlow last season. Maybe, without the FA Cup this season, and (probably) not much to play for in the league, we will take it more seriously. If we remain unpredictable, we might just do well.... or we might end up losing to a Southern League team again.

Substitutions always change our games for the worse atm
Always negative and have that effect on the team.

Westend -are you severely autistic? And once again Willk is making derogatory comments towards people with disabilities. You did this last season on this forum and this comment, together with your one about being ashamed if you canβt walk 10 minutes, really show you in a bad light. Have some respect for others who have a fair bit more to deal with and complain about than moaning constantly about all things Eastleigh FC.

Well, I know we live in a totally sanatised pc world but as for not being able to walk 10 minutes, if you are able bodied and under 70 -isnβt that fair enough? Just an opinion, we all have them. As for being autistic the quote is βare you autistic?β Just a question and not derogatory in the slightest.
