Another utterly bizarre performance . Took a friend and he just couldn’t understand how we can retreat so much at home. Second Half really bag again. Still, as said, quite entertaining which to me is the most important thing. you have a friend WillK

Another disappointing home performance. Should have had the game in the bag at 2-0 but....well the above posters say it all, really. Defending is not just down to the back 4, midfield & forwards all contribute to keeping clean sheets and at the moment it's just not happening. Still loads of injuries & at least 1 out there today didn't look 100% fit. Still, another away win at Dover next week will help.

All teams sustain injuries so I get fed up of hearing that contributes to games like this. We simply ran out of steam, sat back and invited them on. The result was no surprise. I am worried that our goalkeeper is making some terrible mistakes that sooner or later are really going to hurt us. his kicking out is very poor and I do wonder about how much confidence our defence have in him. He also slows up our ability to break--he allows the opposition defence and midfield to regroup and inevitably any ball he kicks out comes straight back. I'm still a bit confused about what system if any we r using. Chesters was clear from the start- look for the target men. Ares was a bit of everything so at times players were not in position. Hey ho-easy game next week. A real opportunity lost today Lastly easy for me to criticise. I don't know the answers--except if all players had the enthusiasm of Yeates, Howe,Miley, Williamson and Mathews we wud do an awful lot better,

Played well for most of the game, was quite comfortable as I remember at 2-0. Then out of the blue Chester make it 2-1 and a completely different game.
Really don't know what happened. Feels like 2 points dropped

Monkey boy -if that’s a question, be a good boy and put a question mark on the end otherwise it turns it into a statement, which defeats the point of your sarcastic post.

feel like all these points lost could cost us come the end of the season can't remember the last time i saw us win at home Gateshead was only 2 weeks ago 😆 before that all the way back to Tranmere. really thought we were going to do it today, pretty much sums up the season so far, lets hope the next two home games are ones where we can get ahead and stay there

A Couple of points from today...
1) brilliant first half. Actually passed the ball around rather than hoofing it and we looked very good. Miley in the middle was by far my MOTM today! Brilliant player. Let's hope the V9 academy don't come knocking and ruin him!!
2) after their first goal we should have stuck it to them and pressurised them, instead we sat so deep and it was clear to many of us stood around that we would concede the 2nd eventually. We only sprung to life after that second goal and that lasted 5 mins. An away side coming back from 2-0 down usually sit and hold to see the game out, but Chester were invited onto the ball and could have got a 3rd!! Today was literally a tale of 2 halves!
3) and I'm sorry because I've backed him most of the season, but RH isnt the man for the job. And if you think he is then your just a bit mad! If we played like we did in the first half then I don't think we'd have lost our lead today. Instead, he reverts to 'hoof football' as soon as Chester score the first, every ball went to their giant CB who on nearly every occasion wasn't even challenged for the header!! We reverted back to how we played against Solihull and rightfully drew the game. It's so frustrating to watch! If your gonna hoof it at least have someone on the pitch who can win it, or hoof it into the corners and have your wingers chase the ball down.
Hearing Miley shouting 'come on lads, dig in' said it all about today. We shouldn't be 'digging in' against a club like Chester asfter being 2-0 up. Maybe a bit of the above is frustration but what a frustrating afternoon!! It's very hard to see the club who were gunning for the football league now looking like being a mid table mediocre team again!!
Maybe RH was right 2 years ago when he said he'd taken the club as far as he could?

Lucky their finishing was so poor, else it would have been all over by half time! Lucky we have an in form striker! Another great finish! Thought that Howe was immense today and Constable had a good game.

I was disappointed with one or two having a pop at Mark Yeates on the East Terrace in the first half. He’s been a breath of fresh air for us this season and was clearly rattled. In fact the moaning and negativity got so bad, I stood somewhere else for the second half. I dread to think what it was like there as the game wore on. Isn’t it best to encourage your own players even when they make mistakes?!

With the utter shi.te that gets served up regularly I actually think the players and manager get away very lightly from the crowd.
