So, Richard Hill says it's one of those days......it's another one of those days. The last 4 games we have played some good football-today we looked like we did under MA's reign. Why do we keep playing Stack? Everyone around was me saying much the same as me - he's rubbish, I do not think as a professional player he should have been giving verbal abuse to one of our fans! Why did we take Ayo off - Hill says he had to change something - why Ayo.......some unusual changes as far as I was concerned. Three goals in 4 minutes and only one man to blame. Where is Ryan Clarke or doesn't Hill like him? Diabolical! Feel sorry for all the fans, really expecting a lot better than what we saw.

The season finished after the win at Torquay so no surprise we get one of those days suspect there may be more. RH had a job to do and has done it the rest doesn't matter. Fair play to Stack for giving some back, if as a fan you cannot take the abuse don't give it. Paying your entrance money does not include the right to call anyone anything you like. You can make the point that you think he is rubbish without the clear aggression.

Stack shouldn't have given me the feedback but I can take it. He's a professional and I'm a fan. If a player swears at a fan or official they can be dismissed from the club.

So it's fine for you to say that to him from behind his back is it?
No it's not, you wouldn't walk up to anyone at their work and say that to them, unless you were looking for a fight.
If you handed in your schoolwork and the teacher said it to you then you would be horrified

You seem to be missing the point. Stack is a proffesional footballer - no way should he be hurling abuse at a fan. He is employed by Eastleigh Football Club and should act accordingly. ,I didn't say I agreed with what the fan may have said, although Stack was getting abuse all through the game after the 4 minute spell and 3 goals from every fan around me. RH may have done a job (agree) but we are building a team for next season and I am sure every fan would like to see better performances than that - were you happy.? I also said why did he take Ayo off, what's your view on that? What's your take on Ryan Clarke?

As a professional footballer Stack shouldn't have reacted as he did. As a human being sometimes you just do. As I understand it, all he has done is give out a few verbals; he hasn't broken any bones, he hasn't punched anybody. I'd day minor incident, let it go.

Stack was out of order but as the offender posted on fb his outrage at being called out by his victim, I'm afraid i cannot share the outrage, I'm sure the club have rules in place and will apply them. If Stack was getting abuse all through the game it says more about his abusers who then post their abject horror on here and elsewhere then it does about Stack. Of course we all want to see better performances but there is nothing to play for anymore so I'm not expecting them. Do not have a clue why he took Ayo off and have posted my thoughts on Clarke on that thread. As Blakey said the only building happening at the moment is the clubhouse.

It was without doubt the worse goalkeeping display I've ever seen, he simply was not at the races. Even before he went on a picnic for the first goal he'd already thrown the ball out to a Dagenham player, they managed to get a shot at goal from it. I don't see how RH can play him next week, Clarke has to go back in, I don't think Clarke would have conceded the first three goals, I can't say anything about the fourth as along with others we left at half time, the first time in my life I've ever done that. Stack was getting some bird, he bloody deserved it, the anger in our area at 3-0 down was not just from the kids, I'm talking grown men in their 40's 50's and 60's venting their feelings. I tell you what if it was me giving him some bird and he shot back at me, I'd give it back double barrelled before getting ejected. I don't think the club should fine him for being unprofessional giving some back to a fan, just send him on his way and good riddance to rubbish.

Send him back to the Indian premier league and keep him there.

I wasn't at the game, but still feel I can comment on this.
I'm definitely not a Graham Stack apologist - after all, he played for my least favourite team in North London. Also if you read about his past before coming here you'll read about nightclubs, knocking over pitch invaders (see another thread), etc.
But I perceive a hell of a lot of bias against him on this forum - from day one. I suspect it's because he's seen as a 'Martin Allen' man, and is also keeping out fans' favourite Ryan Clarke.
My view is that: a) until yesterday, Stack has mainly played OK for Eastleigh when I've seen him (I wasn't impressed with his debut at Brentford, but he had a defence in front of him that didn't turn up for 45 minutes - he's certainly made the odd other mistake). Clarke has also done quite well, very brave, but I've seen him make mistakes too, probably no less so than Stack.
b) if you give it you have to be able to take it. You are entitled to your opinion, but if someone answers you back then that's fair play too. I understand all that stuff about 'being professional' but you try being in that position. I expect Stack will get punished for this, and personally I will have some sympathy for him. Just to clear things up, exactly what was said to him, and how aggressive was it? On a similar point, Wayne Shaw had two 'meltdowns' in his career when abused by the crowd, but a lot of people on here obviously like him.
For the record I have no idea why RH has not picked Clarke - maybe Clarke's still injured, maybe Stack needed to have a bad game to justify being replaced (sounds like yesterday's was that game) and I have no idea who will be between the posts next season. Clarke's a decent keeper for this level, but so was Flitney.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the main point that people are missing is tge terminology used by Stack, yes, if you get sworn at then it's not nice, but is there any need to call someone the "C" word in return, made in my view even worse as it was in front if other fans and also the person who it was said to actually works at EFC on a Saturday. As I have previously said, the players were paid to go and play at Dagenham, the fans had to pay to go, it was probably frustration on the fan's part, but there was no way Stack can justify the name calling

I totally agree with this comment and even if I didn't work at EFC then he still shouldn't have said that to a fan.

FFS if you give stick then be prepared to get it back. Yeah Stack had an awfull game. Some of the abuse he took yesterday was bloody awful. Personaly iv given players stick and iv had a few give it back. I gave Colson some stick this season for not giving his all, he reacted. So i went and spoke to him after. Just telling him why i gave him stick, for not putting 100% in Iv given refs and lino's stick. I remember a lino turned and gave me some back a few years ago (nothing sweary). After the game a few said you should report him. Why i said, he aint done anything wrong. Just returned some back
So basicaly grow up and stop being so bloody precious. If you give it, be prepared to get some back.
