Starting at 9-15am and getting back at 11pm. via Waterloo, Plaistow, D&R, Whitechapel, Liverpool Street (my fault got on wrong underground train), Waterloo and Istanbul Gril. Bumped into a few beered up Aldershot, Woking, and Pompey fans (one being harry the hawks brother, realy nice bloke) quiet a few beery Eastleigh fans(one of which enjoyed the trip so much he didn't get off)

I was not the game (A change of arrangements mean that I will be going to North Ferriby instead), but Stack has performed OK in the games I have seen him play. I know that things can change quickly in football, but two seasons ago Stack was superb in helping Barnet win 2-1 at Eastleigh when I believe Richard Hill was Eastleigh manager, and it was easy to see why he was chosen for the Conference National team of the year that season.
Ryan Clarke makes a lot of very good saves, but he also does blunder from time to time and I am not sure you could say he was entirely blameless for the two goals Swindon scored against us.
I do not think that it is a good idea to react to criticism, but there must also be a limit as to how much one should be prepared to tolerate, and I am also not sure if it was a fan or paid employee of the club he was responding to.
One thing I would like to see is highlights of games shown, which to my knowledge has not been done on a regular basis since Jamie Graham left the club.

I was at the game yesterday, and would make a few comments. Difficult to select an Eastleigh MOTM, as no one played particularly well, however Tubbs & Macca both gave their all with no return. D&R had everything to play for. Us, little apart from pride. Stack made one mistake in throwing the ball out to a D&R player before the first goal and was then caught too far off his line for goal No1. Even so, Whitely was very quick to spot his positioning & it was excellently taken. The second goal was tucked away after a shot cannoned off Stack's chest, but the initial shot, I think hit the ground first making it difficult for the keeper to do his job properly. The third was from a cracking shot as Whitely cut inside from the wing, & that again hit the ground just in front of Stack. In my mind he had little chance with it.
I get the impression that Stack started off at Eastleigh by replacing Mark Childs for the Brentford game after Childs had performed well in the 2 games v Borehamwood. From memory, Stack could not be faulted for any of the 5 goals that day, but he still received a lot of stick & many people blamed him for letting in 5 goals. I would agree with others that he has played OK since then, but again seems to be made a bit of a scapegoat for yesterday. The ironic cheering when a shot went straight to him after the 3 goals can't have helped his confidence at all. Some of the comments on social media & on here about him verge on the side of hysterical. What has been forgotten in the whole debacle of the 3 goals in 6 minutes, or whatever it was, is the fact that all 3 goals came from the area of the pich defended by Ayo & Greener. Now I didn't see any obvious errors made by Ayo, but clearly RH did which is why he was substituted. Curse of being POTM? Greener clearly didn't close Whitely down quickly enough for the 3rd goal which was probably why he was substituted.
I have said before that I would prefer Stack to Clarke, but as a supporter I cannot see the logic in berating our players on the pitch. What are we trying to do? Pick the team? Influence RH in team selection? Force players out of the club? What happens between RH & any players stays with them & is none of our business. Can we not allow him to choose his team & then give them our full support even if they make mistakes?Just remember, mistakes by outfield players can usually be cleared up by other outfield players, those made by a keeper often result in conceding a goal. Who'd be a keeper???

I think you've got that exactly right Martin.
I missed the game but had I been there I would have been embarrassed to witness so called Eastleigh supporters hurling abuse at players and claiming it to be their prerogative..
If one of those misguided larrikins actually works for the club, as has been indicated, some might think it time he looked for alternative employment.
It's fair to say that players should not respond whether they are Cantona, Shaw or Stack but it's hard not to think that the "supporter" involved in this case probably fully deserves whatever the player said to him.
The only beneficiary of this kind of behaviour is the opposition - always.

I agree with that - if you heckle your own players, they're hardly likely to play better, are they? Especially if they are likely to bite, like Stack - and by doing so, they'll lose concentration.
Don't forget the season is over for us - RH has done his job in keeping us up - a lot of the players currently in the squad either don't know whether they will be playing for Eastleigh next season, or they don't expect to be. What team will turn up against Lincoln?
The Dag and Red forum said the whole team didn't show much yesterday - one of two have mentioned Ayo and Greener didn't have great games either.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the main point that people are missing is tge terminology used by Stack, yes, if you get sworn at then it's not nice, but is there any need to call someone the "C" word in return, made in my view even worse as it was in front if other fans and also the person who it was said to actually works at EFC on a Saturday. As I have previously said, the players were paid to go and play at Dagenham, the fans had to pay to go, it was probably frustration on the fan's part, but there was no way Stack can justify the name calling If the person who abused Stack WAS an employee of the club, I hope the club fines him or his employment is terminated with immediate effect. I have no idea who is or what he does but there is no way ANY club employee should speak to a fellow employee that way infant of the general public.

A while back EFC paid £60k for a player and he wasn't here very long unfortunately. Without doubt we need a top quality goalkeeper for next season and if that means spending a chunk like £60k getting him so be it. EFC has played 6 different goalkeepers this season which is a complete joke....is that a record for one club? I'd like to see us find one around the age of 28 who could give five years at least in his prime.

6 goalkeepers is far too many. Nowhere near a record though, clubs have played 14 before, I remember reading about it in the non league paper.
