I'm not a fan of long ball football but the funny thing about this is that MA is not signing players for the physical side of it.....we can't see the woods from the trees at the moment!!! Wot is his masterplan? ?? From little acorns.............

From his radio interview he's cleared out the a lot of the too big squad, getting rid of expensive players, replacing them with young cheap players. I see that as he has banked the money for next seasons players that he wants? These guys will be moved on.

Our players gave 100% today! A much better improvement then the Braintree home game. We had chances today but Tranmere had more quality and it showed. We simply lost to a better stronger side. Stack did nothing wrong again he saved a good 1 on 1 today. Mccallister did very well, held the ball up well put mcnulty on his backside and bullied him most of the game. Just needs a bit more match fitness. McLeod possibly our MOTM worked his socks off! Like I said lost to a very good Tranmere side and that's why they are near the top. I don't really like slating players that much but muggleton is very poor. The boy gets skinned puts us in danger and simply not good enough for our team. Surprised why chinua Cole didn't start. I hope we get a few wins because we are 9 points of the relegation zone. Finish the season off and get these 4/5 players stewart mentioned on radio solent.

Certainly the effort was there yesterday. McAllister especially. Thought we played fairly well in the first half hour. Second half we just looked clueless and short of a plan. Defensively we looked light weight. Disappointed with the boos and some calling for MA's head. Expected the team to lose against a good Tranmere side. Hope the style of play changes next season though can't stand the hoof ball.

Dont forget this is now a team put todether by MA having got shot of all the Todd/Moore players . How the hell Muggleton gets a game is beyond me . Is he there just for the throw in ?

As far as the issue of season tickets is concerned someone can attend 10 games as a non-season ticket holder and put as much into the club kitty as a season ticket holder.
I do think that for the facilities and the general standard of football that the prices people pay to watch it are extremely generous and I do not think many people would disagree with this.

I thought we were definitely better than against Braintree. We more a less matched Tranmere for an hour - and they must be odds on for promotion.
Obviously we faded late on and deserved to lose the game, no arguments about that.
Hopefully we will finally get a result against Macclesfield.

From his radio interview he's cleared out the a lot of the too big squad, getting rid of expensive players, replacing them with young cheap players. I see that as he has banked the money for next seasons players that he wants? These guys will be moved on. www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/14944239.New_boss_insists_Eastleigh_can_go_up_as_champions/Allen made it very clear from the start what his plans were. He wanted to go up this season as Champions, so over the course of the December and January he was making signings to meet that expectation. Lets not kid ourselves and start saying that this isn't his team or he's banking for next season. Either that or we have to ignore everything he says in interviews because none of it means anything and it is all lies!! On Saturday yes we were better in the first half but it couldn't get any worse from Tuesday could it really? and the second half speaks for itself....... As many Barnet fans warned us about Muggleton and Allen's relationship, he is not a footballer he is a javelin thrower who Allen will persist on using regardless who gets left out or the type of game that is being played. Sorry to be so negative but I am really fearing relegation at the moment. Our form is awfull!!! and the bottom 4 are getting closer very quickly!!! TUESDAY IS HUGE, could be down to 6 points if we are not careful!!!

Think on the positive side. It's still a really inexpensive way of spending an afternoon, and if we do go down the bar will be open during the game again. What's not to like?

I agree with unknownquantity - looking at it in that way, there are at least 10 opposing teams I would want to see every season at the Silverlake. Not to mention the home team, occasionally ;-P
We get to see two recent ex-FL sides (and several other ex-FL sides); two sides who will be in the FL next season; we'll have seen two national FA Cup sensations this season (we didn't do so badly ourselves, either).... we can see the matches surrounded by good facilities (including the bar), which will be improved even further....
So as said before, season ticket holders get to watch a decent standard of football at a good price.
