Not surprised but VERY disappointed. Greener has been by far & away our best player over the past couple of seasons, and from the limited views we've had of the players brought in to replace him, I am not sure they are an upgrade.
Thanks for everything Greener & good luck for the future.

Very upsetting. Always worked his socks off for us, and gave it 100% ever game. At the Brentford game at 5-0 down he still worked so hard for the whole of the 90 minutes because the game meant that little bit more to him. Will be missed, but been an excellent servant.

That's a real shame.

Greener is the last, and probably the most consistent, of the Old Guard. I think he can still do a job for us but I am not the Boss.
I sincerely thank him for what he has done for the club and wish him all the very best.

Seems a very strange decision, even though we knew it was coming, I know our form as a whole team meant that Greener stood out this season, as no left back should and his form has been affected by the change in management which hasn't helped, but we are all obviously seeing something the Manager doesn't because he was our best player up to November. Be very surprised if someone doesn't snap him up and quickly on an 18 month deal

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this decision is an MA statement that he's in charge and not a decision made about Greeners ability!!!

That's one way to stop him being voted player of the month! 😉 But seriously, not unexpected as we seem to have been bulk signing left backs and feel for him having watched Harding come in and then him winning his place back. He'll do another club proud and I wish him well.

Can't really say anything about Greener that's not already been said. Eastleigh legend, without doubt, will stay long in many fans' eyes as our best left back ever. Yes, we knew it was coming, but I thought he might just see out the season with us. Can't blame him for jumping ship before being pushed. Best of luck at whichever club you decide to play at next, Michael and thanks for so many memories.
Actually my best one goes back proably 7/8 years to a game (can't remember the opposition) when Greener had a strong run down the wing, almost to the byline, crossed for Damien Scanned to score with a diving header!

Very consistent player! Sad to see him go! He wasn't getting in the starting 11 so why are people moaning? Some fans on here and at the club don't seem to like a change?? He wasn't getting game time!!!!! I wish him all the best

I wish him all the best Does that mean you believe that the 19 squad members should be further cut to 16 as you can only have 11 plus 5 on the bench therefore the other 3 wont be getting game time?

Soon as Muggleton and Cole came in I think this was inevitably going to happen. Muggleton and Cole have a lot of potential, and MA clearly thinks that and has faith that they will stay for a while. So I wish Greener all the best, I would rather see him do really well at a new club, even if it is another division, than to watch him as third choice here. Thanks for everything Greener

Like I said he wasn't getting games. Your on about 5 subs. They won't always b a sub. Sad to see him go time to move on.

Thanks for the memories. Loved seeing him develop as a player, a great ambassador for the club as well. Always the first to come and chat to the supporters. Top guy. Yes we all new it was coming as we were building a squad of left backs. Good luck Greener you will be a great asset to another someone. I my view if you are going to release him it should have been done during the transfer window. If a league side wanted to sign him they can't this season.
