Not impressed with Hodson and Taylor being retained, and gutted to see George, Oscar and Brennan leave.
Have to wait and see who we bring in of course, but for now it feels like a backwards step :/

I'm a bit surprised we haven't kept a couple more. Those that are under contract may have activated automatic extensions based on playing x amount of games.
10(?) new signings to come this summer perhaps.
Guessing with the Kelvin Davis connection we might try and go back for Vokins in a few weeks, but he could well get a L1/L2 club instead I should think.

Happy enough with the retained list bar Taylor and Hodson who i'm shocked we were stupid enough to obviously give 2 year deals to. This says it all about last seasons poor recruitment.
If you're keeping Maguire then playing either of these 2 in midfield with him is plain dumb, they're are both lacking in pace and creativity. You need energy around Maguire to play off him.
I'd pay for a taxi to get rid of both of them.
Shame that Langston, Camp and Rutherford have gone especially Langston who did give his all, no surprise Enzio is going as he was inconsistent and also often played out of position.

Most of the retained list I'm happy with, although I'm not clear which of them we had to keep due to 2-year contracts, and which of them we chose to keep.
The only one I've got a real issue with is Nwabuokei. He's improved under KD but was one of those consistently in the weak midfield that we've had all season. Sounds like he was one under contract already, though. Francilette has improved under KD too, and I think he's started to take more responsibility to lead the defence, which of course worked well in those 1-0 away wins which ensured survival. till don't rate his passing ability though - hope next season we'll pass it more through midfield rather then the hoof over the top. I think Hodson's a decent player but was playing in several roles under KD (and predecessors), which didn't help him, as he's primarily a solid, experienced defender who has a decent pass/cross if needed. Pleased to see the front three still here and hope they can recapture top form after a summer's rest. Unless McCallum goes for a million to Aldershot, in which case he'll be hard to replace. I think Taylor is useful but he can't do it all by himself and as I said all season we lacked both a ball-winner and creating source in midfield. This for me is priority no 1.
I'm also sad to see Langston, Camp and Rutherford go, the latter will hopefully get his mojo back at another club as he's been messed about all season by those in charge here. I expect Langston will find another club at this level or higher (his departure was for me the biggest surprise), and I hope Camp gets back to full fitness as he has a lot of potential. He was unlucky here.

Not happy about retained list. All season we were lacking pace. No visible change Can not understand keeping Taylor are we rewarding the one tackle he has made all season or for his dancing in front of the ball.

We are keeping Taylor because he is on contract. We can only shed those at end of contract without some sort of pay off.
