Prices frozen, it says in my e-mail. Until April 30th (we should know what league we're in by then).
There's a new app to download called Fanbase where we can buy/renew tickets and experience 'fan engagement'.

It wasn't mentioned on the comms, but have had it confirmed that stadium migration will continue to be permitted next season.....

Im renewing. Solely to give me an excuse to get out on Saturday afternoons. I have zero interest in the football anymore. The atmosphere is awful, the support is pathetic, the stewarding is killing it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the ratio of stewards to supporters down there is greater than it is in the premier league. If those security personnel can't cope with 30 boisterous nippers then sack the lazy buggers!

The stone island mob run a mile when visiting fans say anything to them, think the stewards are there to protect them.

Well chaps, I’m finally going to break my addiction of the past 12 years, and NOT renew our season tickets. I was wavering last season, but relented and renewed, mainly in the hope that the football would be more entertaining with the increased Stewart Donald budget. Sadly, the football has remained pretty soulless. We’ve haven’t been to a match since the Newport replay, and frankly not missed it at all. I may return for the odd game, but my days of being a season ticket holder are over. Good luck with the coming season (hopefully not in the National League South).

That's a shame, Bruce.
If we do end up in the National League South then I would hope to see a decrease in prices - having seen Havant and Waterlooville twice this season (yes I know) then the quality is not at all comparable to the National League.
The National League will be less attractive next season with the teams that are likely to come down, and Chesterfield leaving. I've found the entertainment value OK this season (not necessarily from us), we've had the cup run, and we've still got something to play for in the last month of the season (sadly, not in the way we hoped). So if we stay up, I'll probably renew. I'll still go and watch a variety of other non-league football, though.
Who knows who will be in charge next season (both on and off the pitch)? I'd expect to see a lot of new players. At least most of the ones still on contracts are the better ones.
I hope the relationship between the club and fans doesn't become any more 'corporate', however. If anything that's pushing me further away.

Bruce - It is a real shame you feel that way. That said, it echoes my own experience from about 6 years ago when i fell out of love with it all, after going to pretty much every game home & away for 12 seasons or so. I really didn't miss it either and tbh, i still don't. I go to the odd game, but it really is an odd game, i think i've done about 4 games in total in the last 5 seasons. Mine was nothing to do with how we were playing etc, i just fell out of love with football in general. I agree with HL about the corporate thing and although i have done corporate a few times, its generally full of people who don't give a ****e about the game or even the club in some cases. I feel the club are still doing some major things very badly, such as charging home fans to get into their own clubhouse (Sherwoods) and then at the same time turned The Hanger into an absolute ****ehole. I understand they are going to spruce the Hanger up for next season, but that's too many years of neglecting their true fanbase supporters, whilst building the corporate side. I get there is more money to be made in the corporate world, but at what cost to the loyal fanbase? Anyway i dont want to slag the club off, as it still has my heart, its just my heart is content with watching from afar now & it appears that more loyal longtime fans are feeling the same way. I really hope this is addressed, before they lose too many more.

Is still very good for Conf South , although we might get outnumbered at home by AFC Totton or Hornchurch

Havant were charging £180 for a early bird standing season ticket last year, so it was similar. Totton may bring a few (IF they go up), but they do exaggerate their support rather. Hornchurch are averaging about 700 in the Isthmian, although they will be in the NLS next season. You're right, they could close half the ground in the NLS - wouldn't be good. Can't see too many of the others outnumbering us - Torquay usually bring a few. Worthing brought about 300 to Havant (and there was some trouble). www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national-league-south/attendancesAnyway, I hope this discussion is academic!

Thanks for the comments. I agree that the corporate side of the club is taking over. Stewart brought two very capable down from Sunderland, but they didn’t know the club or the fans. I had quite a passionate debate with Dave Moses preseason, where he was trying to justify the cost of entry to Sherwoods. It was a cost of entry only, because they were taking away the free tea and coffee. He thought that it was tremendous value, but after about a month, the cost of the annual standard pass into there, suddenly included food. The non migration issue was another example of not understanding the fan base. I recognise that these individuals are very competent but it was a bit of a bit of a bull in china shop approach. Their non appearance at home games (especially over the Christmas and New Year period), speaks volumes. I shall be watching from afar. Thanks for the memories.

As a regular passionate fan like you Bruce I took this decision last year after way to many changes regarding admissions, entry's, parking, where I stand to watch, seating and the old £10 entry to sherwoods bar only to be told " can't enter after game due to private function". I don't miss it 1 bit now, the people at the helm are destroying it for the loyal fan base. Soon there will more people eating upstairs than fans in the stands. Shot themselves in the foot big time.I wish you well with your free time on Saturdays, take care mate.
