What is the point of having a bench. RH seems frozen and unable to make a decision regarding substitutions. Why bother having young players who are just as good if not better than those that he brings in on loan for good money sitting getting no game time. So short sighted. They may as well just leave to get football elsewhere, where they are valued. . Would love to understand why the management refuse to develop their younger players. Would be very surprised if young players like Rutherford stay past the January window, I am sure they are desperate to move. This club is turning into a playground for dinosaurs. The average age for the starting line up, even with George in it, is almost 29.

I'm sure Rutherford is more than happy with his appearances in Pro football sub 20 years of age. We are protecting him rightly he can't do 3 games a week, most can't even in their prime

Not sure he is happy with his game time, seemed to cope last year playing nearly every game.

According to Tranfermarkt 23/24 so far 1150 mins 18 Apps = 64 mins average
22/23 2699 mins 39 Apps = 69 mins average
What's the matter?

I don’t believe we really have any youngsters good enough to be starting ahead of our first team at the moment. I’m not sure wingback is Rutherfords best position either. So where would you play him? Squad looks fairly balanced right now so would have to disagree about playing youth when we don’t really have it.

Four games undefeated. Given Maguire's absence and our opponents' style, a good result and a hard-fought win.
Barlow isn't Maguire. Our style changed and the front two did well to make/create the chances they did. Two great finishes. The rest of the team was solid, I was impressed by Hodson in defence, he used the ball well.
I said on Saturday that I didn't think Rutherford had a good game, so wasn't surprised to see Clements replacing him. He's more solid but didn't offer much going forward.

Another good three points..... McCallum predictably given MOTM for his two goals, but I thought Nigel was outstanding in midfield today (and on Saturday), a constant menace. Tough one coming up at Chesterfield, especially with our away form this season.

Just listened to RH and he referred to someone in the middle who l think he called `loony` or something similar, to whom does he refer, pray tell ? Anyway l thought we weathered the storm last night and took our chances which we didn`t do last season and the first part of this one. We seem now to be able to soak up a lot of pressure without conceding, which l think is a lot to do with Messrs Atangana and Taylor sitting in front of the back four offering protection and also breaking up attacks. That Boreham Wood team looked a much sharper and quicker side that we beat in the FA Cup, it also had different players which made a real difference. All in all l am very pleased with our progress, one last question where is Rutherfords best position, right midfield ?

A very good win that. Hilly will always be striving to make us hard to beat and its paying dividends now. Great to back up Saturdays win with another 3 points and it'll be another very tough game against the runaway leaders on Saturday, but if we can come away from that without being beat, its a good run that i believe we can continue over the coming weeks, with 2 cup games sandwiched in between some winnable league games. I think by the time we get to the end of December, we'll be firmly in the play off spots.

Ludi, Ludwig With regards to Rutherford, I thought he was exceptional away to Oldham
