With the massive silence on this subject, and now a few games where we are likely to pick up a few points (the home games particularly look winnable) to get our season on track, I was wondering if SD/RH is happy running with the current management team at the moment, and may even extend their tenure? It's happened before.

It's happened before. The lack of movement on the position does tend to imply that we are sticking with RH & Jason for the medium term. Neverwillville fired Jamie Collins today & have already appointed is successor. I would've thought if we were looking at an outside replacement we would've done the ground work before axing LB?

It's happened before. If the club is searching for someone, they'd do well to get someone better than a RH type character. Someone who's won the league below, created history then got the club their best ever league position. He's pretty perfect to be honest, I believe he will have changed his style since 4(?) Season previous.

I can’t agree with the comment they should give it Hill to the end of season. Alright he got us promotion and achieved our highest position but that was what 8 years ago? He’s come back countless times (maybe as a favour to be fair) but it has never worked out. We need to get some one it quick and I hope it doesn’t get dragged out any more. Let’s be honest most of these summer signings will have been RH signings

Let’s be honest most of these summer signings will have been RH signings In fairness the comment was made before today's debacle. As auditions for the job go that has to rank with the worst. If Stewart Donald has ambitions to take Eastleigh FC into The Football League contact the Cowley brothers tonight. It would have been ridiculous to imagine them being interested were it not for a positive perfect storm. They live practically on your doorstep and they are very reluctant to disrupt their children's schooling again so soon. Most jobs would mean the brothers being away from their families but with you they could be home for tea; except they'll probably be working fifteen hour days to turn things around. Stewart Donald is back in charge and with money enough I'd hope to make a reasonable offer to the Cowleys; obviously a fraction of their Pompey salaries but not insignificant. The brothers were sacked on 2nd January and I believe have failed to get the job more than once when applying elsewhere, most recently at Charlton. All I've written might just be so much nonsense. But then again it might not. The chance to take Eastleigh into the league might be a seductive one.

Yeah aware of that but I think I made a comment just after bradbury had been sacked about hoping Hill wouldn’t get the taste for it and take it on full time again. It just feels like we’re going round in circles again and again. Not learning from previous mistakes. I assume by having a full on recruitment process they had not had a specific person in mind which does make me wonder if RH does say to SD I can get a tune from them, the job will be his

Dare I say it, that I think the NL has moved on in the last ten years and the players/tactics that worked well when we first got into the league are somewhat out-of-date now?
And that the football leadership at Eastleigh is similarly out-of-date? Recruitment seemed to follow the same pattern as when SD was previously at the club. LB's last interview gave me the impression he wasn't involved in signing some of his squad, and wasn't happy with some of them.
Similarly, in the interview yesterday there was an admission of choosing the wrong tactics, but I didn't get the impression that RH was that bothered about it. I'm sure he was, and he seemed fully engaged at the Aldershot game, but not so much yesterday.

To be fair they did have a scheduled additional break in each half for RH to give direction, plus several of them came over for water. But I do agree that RH seemed more animated and involved for Aldershot.

Any new manager coming in if they’ve any sense would demand that they could bring in 3 players they want to bolster this lot. Hill is out of touch tactically and should not be anywhere near the manager role, he also bears responsibility for the shambles of the summer recruitment. The squad is unbalanced, one dimensional and has no pace. Tough job for whoever accepts the hot seat.

We've signed some talented players but seem to be struggling with the basics....you won't win many games in this league if you don't defend from the front.

Oldham Athletic have just sacked David Unsworth. There's another club fishing in similar waters for a new manager. A much bigger club but geography could be in your favour.

Tim Flowers is available???. He did well with Solihull in this league, but he's not done so great at his last couple of clubs.

They won't have talked to Neil Warnock yet (only left last night) but he's now available :-)
We've already had a couple of 'Marmite managers' mentioned....
