Pretty positive start. What else do we need? Lb and cb if maghoma and vinnie leave. Another cm for cover. We need a marquee striker tbh.

Pretty positive start. What else do we need? .... We need a marquee striker tbh. Let's not be greedy. ANY striker will do for starters! But knowing LB's complete disregard for anything but keeping clean sheets, I'm not holding my breath. Although I am hoping SD forces him to sign some attackers and play less negative next season.

If we wanna get out of this division its whats we need, imagine if we did last season! I think we all know sd loves it so he will definitely be "helping" lb abah

I think that Richard Hill will have an important role to play in the recruitment of players and I think we will not want players signed for the sake of it and it will be policy to wait for the right players to be available.
I believe that when Richard Hill was previously manager of the club he once said he liked 1-0 wins and I personally do not think it is too bad a thing to be good at obtaining clean sheets and winning the majority of games in which we achieve them.
It is perhaps also worth mentioning that when he was manager previously we had our best season of scoring goals at this level of football. We scored 87 league goals that season which was the second highest in the division and in other seasons it could have been the highest.
In the season discussed in the last paragraph no player reached 20 goals and our second highest scorer had 12, but we did have 3 strikers and 1 midfielder into double figures. As he could based on his last season's contribution easily be our second highest goalscorer in a good goalscoring team.
I think that what worked well that season was one of the three strikers mentioned was a good player to bring on in the latter stages of the game when yo need to change things in order to get a result

You bypassed Enzio Bolderwijn who had signed earlier the same day. Dutch player who has had plenty of games at Crawley, Notts County and, most recently, Sutton. Winger/wing back. Looks as he has been popular with the fans at all three clubs above in this country.

Thanks, didn't see that. I've seen Enzio a few times on TV, and he played here for Notts Co in 2019. Quite an exciting signing, could give us the flair and pace we need.

Seems strange to sign a keeper coach (Bartram) who is too old to play and then sign a young keeper aswell? Let's face it, 2nd choice keepers rarely play or feature in first team games, so not sure why we didnt get a keeper coach, who was still able to play, like Flitney was. Then you have an extra place in your squad for an outfield player, who can play.

Unless we get another keeper, who will be second in the pecking order, and Tommy Scott (who's 23) is for the future/will go out on loan again? Seems unlikely.

I think TS will be second keeper, but we rarely put one on the bench anyway....Just thought a keeper coach around the age of 37-38 could fill both jobs, like Flitney did. Seems a waste of a squad place for me. Will not go out on loan, as we wouldn't have cover if Macca got injured. Turning 55 at the start of the sesaon, Bartram isn't going to play or be named as a sub keeper.

Could get loaned out with the option of a recall at anytime would make sense
