Great news. I hope Michael has a great time there. It's scary though that he was such a young player when I started supporting Eastleigh nearly 14 years ago.

Really, he only signed for Dorchester a couple of weeks ago. I know he is not a fan of the artificial surface and hadn't noticed him starting for Dorchester.

really good clubman for us back in the day, amazing how quickly he has fallen down the leagues. Good luck to him

I expect his position may be influenced by wanting to be closer to home, especially with a young family. Playing for a club in the Hampshire/Dorset area with fewer long trips to the North of England.
Having said that I think that when he decided to move on from Eastleigh he may have also thought that he might not get a regular place with Joe Tomlinson in the side, but in fact Tomlinson soon moved on himself.
As stated a great clubman and some us may also recall his Dad Kevin being an accomplished defender with Bashley and Lymington.

Andy Drury just been appointed manager of Margate.
I don't know if anyone noticed that North Leigh got promoted via the Isthmian Div 1 Central play offs. I know this was a club overlooked by Bridle Insurance offices and helped in the past by Stuart Donald. What was interesting from the game was that Ware equalised in 90th minute to make it 2-2. North Leigh though scored in the 5th and 8th minute of injury time to win 4-2. Scorer of both goals, 43 year old, Jefferson Louis.

I think that North Leigh got promoted via the Southern League Division 1 Central playoffs and they only qualified for these, because Welwyn Garden City who finished above them were not allowed to compete in these.
I believe that North Leigh used to wear the Bridle logo on their shirts, but I think that this was stopped when it was deemed that Bridle sponsoring both Eastleigh and North Leigh was a conflict of interest.
It seemed to be that at the time Bridle were sponsoring them North Leigh usually started a season off well and then did less well later in the season when the sponsorship money for that season had been used up.
George Seacole who had been North Leigh's leading goalscorer for several seasons George Seacole has now opted to play lower down the non-league pyramid, but they appear to have replaced him adequately and Jefferson Louis has scored 7 goals for them this season. Actually I thought while at Eastleigh he did not actually do badly on the pitch, but I think he left fairly soon after being relegated to the substitutes benchhaving not trained.
As a further link between the clubs the brother of the North Leigh manager used to play for Eastleigh.

Just one Division drop from Aldershot as Farnborough are in National League South.
Sam Smart has now signed for National League North Buxton.
During week Ross Flitney moved to Wimborne and Vincent Harper to Exeter, both already covered on other threads. Brendan Willson moved to Havant and Waterlooville.
Sure there are plenty more that others have spotted.

Seems to have gone un noticed?
For me that's atleast 5 of our best 5 players gone. What also worries me is their language , vague as it is across their Twitter accounts.

It is worrying to lose 5 of your best, if that's what they were deemed to be. That said, the keeper aside, i'm not sure many of last seasons squad would have got a game in our Conf South winning side, including the 5. So hopefully there are far better players out there, that we will sign for this coming season.

I get the impression bradbury is a bit like marmite and there were quite a few players that didn’t get on with him. I don’t think he got the best out of hill, hesketh etc but players like camp and carter, if he signed on for another season, he did. Bit like Martin Allen, he needs a certain type of player to do well so we’ll see if we get that this summer.

Slightly strange one with Maghoma, I would have thought he would announce a new club at the same time as announcing his departure from Eastleigh (as Harper & whitehall did). so it may be there is a more to this than meets the eye
