Nice to see Stewart Donald (and family) and Richard Hill in the front row of the Main stand this afternoon. Lots of (different) explanations in the clubhouse and after the match in the car-park.

As Richard Hill been there a while it was a given that Stuart would appear . Fingers crossed he’s back for good , older and wiser than before . The MANAGER? must be on borrowed time now , TAXI required ASAP .

It seems to me that Ben Strevens has a very good working relationship with Richard Hill. In Richard Hill's first full season as manager he signed Ben as a player and he became an important part of his team for over two years.
When Richard became manager of Whitehawk he signed Ben again and he also did so when he returned to Eastleigh Ben was once again recruited and became part of the senior management team, before taking over as manager after both Richard Hill and Andy Hessenthaler had left the club.
In the two completed seasons that Ben Strevens has been manager of Eastleigh we have reached the playoffs once and narrowly missed them on the other occasion.
I do not know how involved Stewart is with Sunderland as a minority shareholder and whether he still goes to their games regularly, and whether the fact that Sunderland did not have a game due to the internationals was a factor. I remember seeing Stewart here just over a year ago.

Their words not mine ! .They also said the new owners are like a breath of fresh air . Onwards and Upwards

This was the statement when the takeover was agreed and several sources confirm this to be the case
French billionaire-heir Louis-Dreyfus, 23, has acquired a majority shareholding in the Sky Bet League One club, with Stewart Donald, Juan Sartori and Charlie Methven each retaining a minority shareholding.
Correspondence at the time of the takeover indicated that the EFL wanted assurance that the minority shareholders would continue their financial commitment to the club.
If the situation has changed since then I am surprised there then I would have expected that any internet search would make it clear that this is the case, but maybe KI am missing something.

"Correspondence at the time of the takeover indicated that the EFL wanted assurance that the minority shareholders would continue their financial commitment to the club."
That was the essentially what I heard in "chatter" on the subject on Saturday - that the above remained the case.
