In case anyone was wondering what is wrong about professional football, this interview should shine a light. Exploitation and neglect of young lads striving to make a career in football - if you didn't believe it here is the honest truth. Sadly, some of the smaller clubs do not have the resources nor the expertise to take care of players who are loaned to them at a very young age. Even more sadly, some of the bigger clubs who send them out on loan don't give a flying fig. There is a large rich organisation with a head honcho paid eye watering sums of money which is supposed to responsible for looking after the interests of professional footballers. The PFA no less. It's about time it was realised that for every cosseted billionaire player there are thousands like Abdoulai Baggie who have been used and left to get on with it. That PFA seems to be nowhere to be seen in that scenario. The other revelation I will not forget from Abdulai is his admiration for (Evertonian speaking here) our Gylfi Sigurdsson. I will try to pass that on. I'm also proud that he is enjoying his time with us at Eastleigh and I believe he will turn out to be an excellent signing. Thanks to the podcast interviewer as well for giving us the chance to hear from AB.

Good interview and interesting to hear about his life in football. Is it any wonder the number of players who slip through the system when at times they get next to no support from their clubs/PFA? Especially when they are just in their late teams. Do all players belong to the PFA, or is it just for EFL/PL players? Maybe not our business but would be interesting to know.
