I think it's difficult to take further actions until there is any clear indication of when we will be allowed to games again. I think when new season tickets become available then a special renewal price for previous seasons ST holders may be the best bet. This would not only offer a small degree of recompense but would, hopefully, encourage people to renew after such a long gap. Not a major difference but just a small offering which would help kick new season sales off, whenever and covering how much of a season, that may be spectator friendly.

My view is that our prices are already very cheap compared with other clubs. Also the club has lost income from those home games - and as we had more home games than most left then we are in a worse position than some other clubs. Also if I have paid for the season I have budgetted for the season (and probably saved an average of £10-£15 a game on programmes food and drink!).Therefore no I don't think the club should automatically give refunds on season tickets and, if they did, I would refuse it or ask that it was used in some way to support the club. That said, appreciate some people may have lost income recently so could use the refund. Some form of hardship fund or support either organised by the club or the supporters club would be a good idea. I don't quite view supporting a football club the same as a one off ticket for an event like a festival/concert. I do think individual match tickets should be offered a refund as people had specifically planned to come on those dates.

I understand it's difficult for the young and old so maybe be there could be a compromise. Discount vouchers associated with the club so the money spent goes back in, etc. I for one think it's going to be a tough time for the club so I'm certainly not asking for any refund and like Ian said we should be thinking of raising money through fundraising and donations.

You are entitled to ask for a refund and I am sure the club would be fair with anyone who really needs to ask for that. After all there will be financial problems and even hardship for some. Even after Government furlough and business support there will be people in dire circumstances for whom every penny might count towards keeping their heads above water and taking care of their families. I would imagine Eastleigh FC will be ready and willing to give anyone in that situation a fair recompense. Happily though, I imagine quite a few people won't be quite as badly affected and from my time over 11 years supporting the club and getting to know many of my fellow supporters, I believe there's a strong appreciation of the fantastic deals we have enjoyed from Eastleigh FC over those years which have enabled us to watch quality non league football and enjoy some fantastic experiences in the cup competitions at very little cost - probably the lowest cost in the country for a National League club. The club, I believe, has had at its heart the policy of investing in its supporters. Now it's our turn to invest something back and try to help the club survive the current crisis in the best possible way by forfeiting any right to refunds of season ticket or parking monies. Every pound we leave with the club is going to give the club and its management team that little bit more breathing space to prepare a viable and competitive challenge for the next season, as and when that starts. I won't be asking for a penny back and if that gives Eastleigh FC just a smidgeon of a better chance for the future it will be well worth while.

This post has got to be a wind up surely? The people asking for a refund would be named and shamed if it was up to me. Refund on your £120 season ticket?! (I cant remember how much I paid) you should be grateful by the time football does come back that you have a club to still support, not trying to get £40 or whatever back.

My response was around a slightly different price for those renewing. Mainly as a trigger to get people back on board as and when as there is a big gap until we know when fans can be at games again. Perhaps also enticing them around the fact that it is a 'refund of sorts'. A number of League clubs are trying it, more blatantly advertising it as a link to missed matches last year. Sunderland for one. People love to think they are getting a bargain and also 'slightly pulls the wool' over the eyes of those who feel they are still owed. And as I said, that renewal gap could be far longer, because without knowing when the fans can return how can you sell your season tickets especially as you may not be able to have fans at all games.

I thought someone would raise this issue at some point. Like others on here I do think that the season tickets are good value and probably compare favourably with clubs three divisions lower, and I think that even allowing for only 17 of 23 home league games played the average cost per game for 2019/20 is still one that fans of other clubs in our division can only dream of having to pay.
Looking at the other posts of the creator of this thread it is not the first time he has mentioned season tickets and parking and if seeing home games still involves a 50 mile round trip he has to pay out money in petrol as well.
However I do think that if the club had to pay compensation to every season ticket holder it would be a lot of money for the club to pay out when the amount of money coming in is very much reduced.
I think the only alternative although I do not think I would personally recommend would be to make 2019/20 season tickets valid for the first few games of 2020/21, but I do think it is possible that social distancing could reduce crowds next season.

I'm sure if you want to watch any football live in a stadium when it starts opening its terraces, first in the queue will be the season ticket holders, snap them up...

I think the club should offer refunds to those who want it. Many people will have lost their jobs so will be grateful for any penny. As a fantastic community club I would like to see the club make the offer rather than wait for supporters to make contact, I know of other non league clubs that have. Personally I wouldn't accept the refund but I wouldnt judge anyone hard up who did.
