At last a decent win in the Trophy after just one victory in the last 5 Round One appearances - the hall of shame of Hemel Hempstead, Ebbsfleet, Harlow Town and Gateshead can be forgotten.
A good victory against a Yate Town side who never gave up despite being 5-0 down and who grabbed a consolation goal in the 73rd minute. Our highest-ever score in the Trophy.
On a personal note so good to be back at the Lane after nearly 3 months absence.

Great to hear you were back to a game, Tony. Hope you're well and recovered from your ordeal. Did it feel a bit lonely in such a small crowd, or remind you of games of yesteryear at the Silverlake? Hope you enjoyed the game. Sounded pretty good to me, on the internet.

A round back of us, Sholing won in the 3rd Qualifying match at Paulton Rangers (both from the Southern League Div 1 South). That means Sholing visit Bath City in the First Round proper on Tuesday night,
