Well that wasn't too shabby was it?
Nervy start and for 15 minutes it looked like Stourbridge could well cause an upset. But as the 1st half wore on we started to dominate and overpower Stourbridge.
Second half pretty much one way traffic once Scott Rendells penalty went in. No mistake this time.
So Crewe await us.

Wow! Professional job, well done. Brilliant second half after a mediocre first. Was Max ever really tested? Did our perfect pitch help make such a difference in the 2 games? In the end we could have scored 6 or more, but that would have been a bit harsh on Stourbridge. These stats from the BBC indicate our superiority:- Shots 19 : 4, Shots on target 9 : 2 Corners 12 : 3, Fouls 7 : 12. Really looking forward to the Crewe game on 30th. On that form we have a great chance of getting to the third round. Just need to have a bit of luck with injuries in the meantime.

Great to be able to report that I was well enough to sit at home and listen to the match on the radio last night. Some might have noticed that Jill and I (Tony) have been absent from our seats in the main stand for the last few weeks.
Back in October, I collapsed without warning at home and had to be rushed by ambulance to the General. I was told later that I had no pulse for part of the journey. The diagnosis was Sepsis, a life threatening bacterial infection and my life was saved only by massive doses of i.v. antibiotics. Thank you NHS, I'll never have a bad word about you. I've still got to go back to have some plumbing and a stent removed next week but, at least, I'm no longer the unattractive bright orange colour that I've been of late. I've also lost about 20% of my weight
I'm still not well enough to come to matches but at least I'll be able to watch the Crewe game on the box. Hope to see our many friends at EFC soon
Tony

Good to hear you are on the mend after such a life threatening incident. After a quadtriple heart bypass on the NHS I can only but second your praise of this fantastic national treasure. It is so easy to complain about the NHS but in my experience, when the chips are down, it's world class.

So sorry you've not been well Tony. Looking forward to having you - and your encyclopedic knowledge of football - back soon. Best wishes to you both.

Tony, you are part of the community which I enjoy belonging to at the Silverlake and I am sure everyone of us is wishing you a speedy full recovery.
It wasn't one of those Rolly Polly Goally pies which brought this on by any chance was it?
Seriously we wish you a speedy return to your rightful place at the Silverlake.
Cheers for now and really looking forward to seeing you and your missus soon.

No, those are nearly instantly fatal and are banned under the Chemical Weapons treaties.
