Hi all,
What are your thoughts on the current voting system for the election of TSSC committee prior to the AGM?
My personal thoughts having shared my votes with the current chair is that votes should remain in confidence and private from any of the current committee until the night of the meeting.
I got the email this morning and my initial thoughts were a spam email!
Are you all happy to share your votes with current chair or would you prefer a private poll in which people can vote???
Enjoy the break folks

I haven't seen an email asking for votes Dan. I did get an email asking for nominations to be submitted for specific committee positions. I think that is the normal convention for an AGM.

I shall reword maybe that was wrong I meant nominations. I don’t feel it is right or correct for the current elected committee to be aware of Nino at yin’s prior to the AGM

All sounds a bit over complex. Can't people just turn up at the meeting and stand for office as they wish with voting where relevant? This system has happened for the last few years as I remember

Some people are making this a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

I believe that the process which the TSSC under the leadership of the chairman is carrying out is normal AGM protocol for any organisation whether it's a commercial organisation, a social club, a union branch or a political association. Realistically there has to be some vetting of candidates and people need to know who the nominees are in advance so as to be able to give proper consideration to whom they wish to vote for. Standard practice everywhere I have been.
