what a terrible surface. Its a funny one that quite a few fans seems to prefer things in the old days when we had a limited ground with no terraces

Yup, the pitch has definitely got a lot better. Big credit to Dan and the people that have worked on the pitch this season.
I get the idea that the pitch being relaid in the summer of 2017 is now bearing fruit also (although its precise timing left a little to be desired at the time with 3 friendlies cancelled!)

I think that the pitch has varied in quality over the years, but it does seem that the problems of last season have been resolved.
I think that this Sutton match was played at a time when the weather was not great and when other club teams were using it regularly.
