Is tonight
Very quiet on here - any news on player availability, new manager, ticket sales?
Orient still my tips to win the league, won 4-0 on Sat against H+W.
I'll go for 0-1 in front of a crowd of 1800-2000. They will bring about 500.

Usually very quiet on here after a win. Lose 3-0 tonight and tomorrow will be a very busy day on the forum, win 1-0, won't be much doing.
As for a forecast 0-2 and 2150.

1-0 at HT. a tough 45 mins to go. Apparently Strevs has another coach on the bench with him tonight. Does this mean he has the job now and this coach is his new full time right hand man? Bit odd to have someone on the bench with him extra if he’s not got the job right?

The Basingstoke manager, Jason Bristow, has been helping out as he works as part of the Eastleigh community/academy so perhaps Basingstoke had no game or training tonight.

Decent performance - I felt we matched them after the first half hour, when they looked better but didn't create a lot. Rather a midfield battle, we got our customary goal from a corner, they got their customary goal as we lost the ball in midfield. Not a lot of creativity, what there was came from Yeates, deservedly MOM. Will be interesting to compare Orient to Salford in the space of four days - Orient had to battle our physical approach first, but they didn't create that much and play was weirdly compressed on one side of the field after every goal kick.
Levels of effort were back to Hess levels - if Strevs is still in the running for the manager's job then this performance will have helped a lot.

Probably a fair result overall. Didn't really think we created a lot & Orient looked the more likely winner, but they were top of the league so probably not surprising & its not a bad point.
Crowd was 1,938 with 461 away fans.
Of course next up are the new league leaders Salford!
IIRC It will be the 3rd time this season we have welcomed the league leaders to the silverlake.

One big mistake that led to their goal, apart from that a very solid performance.

Think we'd all have taken a point before the game & most will be happy that we did. I thought LO looked the most attractive footballing side we've seen at the Silverlake this season, but then, our defence matched everything they could throw at us, bar one mistake. We have our limitations in going forward, and if we could improve on that aspect and score a few more goals, we're easily capable of making the top seven. In the end, a fair result and LO will definitely be in the mix for automatic promotion.
