Accessing the ground I presume with no info coming from the club stoneham lane is still accessible via pedestrians just closed permanently for cars from Yesterday (10th oct).

The lane is now permanently closed to traffic from the Concorde Club end, but still open for access to the club and places such as the church, Trojans etc from the Swaythling end, as before. A new roundabout opposite the Concorde Club will be open around the end of the year which will enable traffic from Stoneham Way to access Stoneham Lane via the new road that meets the old sharp corner.
As regards pedestrians, I would hope that there will be an anouncement from the club tomorrow.

www.eastleighfc.com/ground-guide-aldershot/specifically: Access If you’re traveling to the Silverlake Stadium by car, please be aware that Stoneham Lane will be closed from 12:30 on Saturday- which means access to the ground can only be made via the south end, coming up from the direction of Swaythling. This road closure will be in place until 18:00 but pedestrians will be able to make their way towards the club from either direction.

So, based on what the Club says, there has been a delay in closing off Stoneham Lane from the Concorde Club end. Sounds like everything is as before.

Parked at the Cricketers and walked down and went through the new road, there seemed to be more than 1 choice of route, but with plenty of time and no cars around, it wasn't issue.
After the game I walked through with the crowds at peak time and about half the crowd walked round the stoneham lane bend with the other half walking (include myself) along the new road. After a short way along the road I was very surprised to have a number of cars driving through the pedestrians. They appeared to have come from the game so I'm guessing that the road closure people were allowing traffic to flow to Eastleigh. Possibly its just a teething issue, but it seemed like an undesirable & potentially dangerous situation.

The road closures we have previously had (which safeguard the pedestrians) weren't in place today. There was no one stood at the Southampton road restricting access and that was fully open. You could also turn right out of the ground if you wished and when we left there was a queue of cars at the traffic lights down towards the church.
