Certainly looked like it. Think there must have been a give away to local clubs

Bit frustrating but what about our second goal? I was lucky enough to be stood be to Yates when he sent that long pass across the park to McShafferry, what a superb pass it was, absolutely fantastic! Yates is settling in really well, still seems a bit unsure of his role but definitely improving each game, keep it up mate! I didn't really see the finish I was put off by the cross!

What we saw today was an entertaining game, between two bang average sides. Thought we had by far the better of the first half, and they shaded the second, both of us hit the woodwork late on. The stats don't lie, lots of draws, and 5 points off bottom four and five points off the top four. If we get a few of our better players fit, if we can defend set pieces a little better, if we can somehow inject a little pace into the proceedings, we could do better; but as we are - a bang average National side and no shame in that. Certainly a damn site better than most of the crap that was served up last season.

Agree with the above, an entertaining game, with another decent visiting performance at the Silverlake meaning an encouraging, but frustrating result. With so many teams evenly matched in this league, and another set of surprising results, the league is still up for grabs at the moment.
Both sides conceded a goal after a horrible scramble, but our second, as already stated, was a thing of beauty - a great ball by Yeates - and a nice finish by McSheffery despite the keeper hesitating and therefore making up his mind to lift the ball over him.
Stack played well again, Howe was probably the best Eastleigh right-back I've seen this season (he's excellent in the centre too, of course, and a good captain), the centre backs were generally fine (Boyce's injury could be worrying though), but Greener didn't have one of his better games. Reda was dangerous up front again. Midfield was better than on Tuesday - Miley much improved - and Yeates had some good end-product today to go with his promise. The forward combination looked more dangerous than on Tuesday, although putting the ball in the air for them wasn't very effective. Good to see Ben Williamson come on late as sub - hope he's back to fitness soon.
I'm sure the free tickets for local youth clubs was well appreciated, especially since they saw a good game - hopefully they will return. Looked like we did well selling burgers and merchandise too. Would help if some of them (and their parents) learn a bit of road-sense down Stoneham Lane though.

Howe is quality wouldn't have split up howe/boyce partnership would have played Wood and left Reda on bench. If Boyce is injured then I'm worried we don't need any more injuries especially there 😐

I also agree it was an entertaining game, with another decent visiting performance at the Silverlake meaning an encouraging, but frustrating result. However I do have concerns, on at least three things that in my opinion our happening in recent games : Firstly, our team from an attacking point of view are too small and mainly left footed.( Although some of the AFC Fylde players were of Rugby league stature ). Secondly, we seem to trying to walk the ball in for the perfect team goal, where a simply shoot on sight and work the goalie would produce more goals in the end. Thirdly, certainly in the last two games, where the full backs have pushed on for the equaliser / winner, a simple long ball over the top of our defence where we lack pace and Stack coming to the rescue on multiple occasion`s. Still with these two latest results at home not going to plan, three points against Hartlepool will do nicely.

That was another step in the right direction and the game would have been won if we had been able to eliminate the simple errors that cost us two points. We kept the football going this time, though our energy levels did seem to fade in the second half whereas Fylde's equalisers seemed to give them extra impetus. I don't remember seeing much though, efctommygreen, that would have turned out better for the presence of a big right footed player who wants to shoot on sight every time. I've seen a few of them playing in the Hampshire League so they are available but I suspect they would turn out to be a bit too predictable to be able to make a real impact.

Don't think so - there was no gap between the fans in the Mackoy. Given the crowd size, it was good it wasn't.
Fylde fans seemed to be a pretty good bunch anyway, and there were only 52 of them (looked to be a few more)!

Just goes to show that if the stewards didn't favour an easy life and actually did something when the banter from away fans gets too much, you really don't need a vast no mans land ruining the view of the game for law abiding home supporters because they don't need the aggro. But will the club listen?
