started the season as title favourites and have had a fairly poor start.
Should be our biggest crowd of the season so far (over 2k) with 500(?) coming down from Tranmere.
Can't quite decide whether a point would be good result!

I'll take a point. Anything apart from a 3rd defeat at home by Tranmere.

Can't be settling for a point at home against anyone. It's a must win like every other home game, and we will win it.

I'd just be happy if we take the game to them and at least try to use some width, alas I fear it will be another staunch/solid game with few clear cut chances for us at least.

Hi,
Tranmere fan here,
To be honest you have never had a better time to play us, we are playing poorly and are being easily bullied and losing our discipline
If we are level at 70 mins I suspect you may win it as we need the points and may push it too hard.
Also lots of rumours our best player Andy Cook will be leaving before the transfer deadline as the budget is used up and we have an unbalanced squad
If you target McEverley in the air we will have trouble
On route now
Lets hope for a good game
Not sure we will bring too many if I am honest, there seems to be a feeling of resignation amongst the fans for which we need a convincing win somewhere to kick start our season

I'll also go for a draw, attendance about 2200.
Hope both the ref and the opposition check the corner of the pitch a bit earlier this time to make sure it's fit to play! We've had some rain this week.... in fact a shower this morning, too. AFC Stoneham are at home at 3.00 today, just in case.

Tranmere forum suggests that few are travelling down. There was an official season ticket holders coach offered but that was at £34 a head !!! so the away gate will probably be largely restricted to exiles.

2-0
First Half was at best average. Tranmere had more of the ball and were passing it well but we still created a few chances. Our two forwards did not seem to be able to get hold of the ball very much thanks to a dominant performance by Tranmere’s no. 5 Mcnullty.
Then came the second half and what a difference a Macca makes. Now Mcnullty had a battle on his hands, for which he often came second, we were winning more of the ball and Tranmere looked vulnerable. Two well taken goals by the Spitfires and it was game over.
All praise to RH for the HT change(s).

I thought Tranmere looked class in first half, v good midfield but our defence was strong. Interesting changes on the left , good to see Stearn starting, two v good goals and I agree Macca was excellent, very good result from a still new team, good day in the office!

I agree Tranmere looked good in the first half, they passed the ball round very well.
After the break we were much better - as said, Macca made a big difference. As I said in the last game, Williamson seems to try things and take gambles that not many forwards seem to do - his shot for the goal, from that angle, came right out of the blue. Clear own goal for the second, I'm afraid - sorry Macca! Great header though.
Other standout performances for me were Hollands (again) in midfield and Howe looked great at centre back, he appeared to be doing some organising too. I thought Wood did well at left-back too, but again Ayo showed some weaknesses, and kept trying to hoof the ball as far as possible.
Eight points from the five games we've had isn't bad going. Tranmere haven't started well but showed enough to indicate that they will be in the hunt as the season progresses. Over 300 away fans wasn't bad either - as usual they supported their team impressively.

Superb strike by Williamson for the first and a decent header from mcallister.
Good 3 points and we got better as the game went on
