It may be a coincidence that Wilko disappears from posting on this forum, and simultaneously a rival one appears. I have not registered on the rival forum, as the anything goes language is at best insulting, and is anything but constructive. There is a difference between having a sensible debate with the inevitable disagreements, and one that allows disgusting language on it.

I'd say that it is a coincidence, doesn't appear to be anybody like that user posting on there and the person who created it doesn't use it. I'm sure Wilko will show up as the season starts, his mate durkiboy is probably missing him, don't think he has posted in a while either.

I know that the second site was set up for 'political' reasons, but I'm sure for a lot of fans, like myself, it's a real pain to have two rival sites, and with the feeling that: a) there is a split within the club's fans, and b) there might be something of value on the other site that isn't covered here, so I may need to look at it from time to time.
I also see that the Admin ID there doesn't access the other site regularly(!) but has asked if he/she can moderate some of the bad language on it. A lot of it comes from posters of rival clubs, it seems.

I think a club Eastleigh's size is easily big enough to have two sites. In as far as some of the very antagonistic stuff has moved away from this site, I welcome it.

I'm on both sites, and I agree the language can be fruitful, personally I don't like it and its best ignored, but I do think once the season begins rival fans are going to come on the other site and be quite abusive in their opinions.

The Ramblers Club site wouldn't have been set up if Sattsy hadn't been needlessly banned from this site. I don't like to see bad language on that site, but I will suffer seeing it if there is no censorship from people who may not agree with your point of view.

But at least Sattsy will be running the superb weekly predictions league on The Ramblers Club again, we missed it last season!!!

Just had a look at the Rambler’s club (curiosity got the better of me) but I will not be returning. While I agree it is a free country and I am certainly no prude, language like that has no place on any public forum.
The thread of what was being said was totally lost to me because I could not get around the bad language.
If people started the forum so a more uncensored discussion could be had then good luck to them and I am glad they are where they are and not on this forum.

Willk posted on here in the past 2 weeks, a sensible positive post as I recall. Think he's been quiet in the off season. I would expect more from him when serious football resumes. Probably.

I did get a look at the other forum some weeks ago when there was a link posted somewhere. I think it's great. It pulls in the dross we were previously being bombarded with on here. It's nice that the majority of posts on this forum are now written in recognisable English.

I looked at the other forum and decided that I have no intention whatsoever to converse with a load of excitable shirters.

It appears they have been asked to vote on whether some words should be banned so its down to them. Regardless of what decision they take what is absolutely clear is that no one will ever be banned from that forum. There will always be one or two who push the language into the gutter but that I'm afraid is the world today. Look at most of the top films these days, world famous actors and actresses now use such language, I don't like to hear it from them, but it is the trend these days of involving modern language people use everywhere.

Mercifully Keith I don't take my cue on how to behave from your 'world famous actors and actresses' who live in a world of make believe and who have to ramp up their earning power by getting the 1. column inches, 2. Likes, 3. Follows, by making outrageous statements to get the huddled masses to click on their links. Profanities might give them a leg up but surely you are old enough to realise they are bunch of (fill in your own word/s).
