It's up to date which is a start! I am not big fan of the presentation and there is no link to the club shop or Sherwoods but it is a general improvement. Hopefully more media will be hosted on the site in time too.

Think the layout is an improvement. Its simple but I like it. There are a few mistakes which will hopefully get sorted over time.
Key thing is the club (hopefully) have the ability to change text, add new pages, change links etc etc and maintain the site. That was the main problem with the old site IIRC.

TSSC are currently collating a list of errors on the new site, please send us a PM or email efcspitfires@gmail.com and we will be in touch with the club in the next couple of days and put the list to them.

We could have the best website in the world but if its not kept up to date, it will be no better than now.

I don't understand the club's insistence on communicating to the public/supporters via Twitter and Facebook (no idea about their use of Instagram or other platforms) at the expense of its own website. To be honest, the new one is no better than the old one. One would think that anyone wanting to know anything about the club would automatically go to the website, but it is not particularly user friendly and is clearly a joke if not kept accurate and up to the minute.

If its not up to date, its not the best website in the world. We will get a decent website when SD and the other senior figures at EFC realise how important it is. Just for their info IT'S VITAL.

I got excited for a minute when I saw bomber's post because I thought we were about to get a new website. Then I realised that the previous posts on this thread date back to July last year. Having said that, since we are approaching the end of the season, I wonder whether there might be a chance during the close season for a re-appraisal of the club's online communications by those who deal with these things. Rightly or wrongly I get the impression that the club prioritises its twitter stream and Facebook account for communication with its supporters. I'm sure that this is very effective in reaching those who are following the club's pronouncements through those social media channels but not everyone does. In fact the occasional supporter and any other people we would like to welcome to our matches might very well just visit the club website to find out what's happening and what fixtures are coming up. No doubt there will be a mountain of work between April and August which will occupy all of the hard working people at our club but there might be a big benefit to seeing if there could be something done to improve the website as a source of essential info for anyone interested in following Eastleigh FC or even just taking in the occasional match. Personally I have found that the main and sometimes only reliable source of upcoming match information is the TSSC online forum, especially "Next up at Eastleigh FC" and "Away Travel " which are both kept up by volunteers as I understand it. Many thanks to the people who are taking the trouble to do a superb job of keeping those up to date.
