Do people think Portsmouth will really sell 2000 tickets? I may be a sceptic but just can't see them bringing that many to a friendly against Eastleigh (NOT Southampton!!)

I spoke to a Pompey fan that bought tickets today and blocks 3,4 and 5 of the Mackoy had been sold. Blocks 1 and 6 are smaller so maybe about 1000 sold so far, they only went on sale this afternoon.

Wow I stand corrected! Honestly didn't think they would bring that many. It should be a great atmosphere with a possible full Silverlake (as long as any troublemakers are eliminated immediately)

"as long as any troublemakers are eliminated immediately"
What did you have in mind? Snipers on the roof of the Sherwood Restaurant?

Is that really true? If so they will surely sell out by the end of this week. Or are blocks 3,4,5 just not on sale yet to pompey fans? I guess we don't know how Pompey do their own internal ticket sales. I thought there was a possibility of Eastleigh fans going in the mackoy depending on how many Pompey sell of their allocation? Must say all this does seem a bit over the top, like the post above I was expecting to the ground half empty for this game, it is only a friendly after all! Not knocking Eastleigh fc, obviously we have to comply with police requirements

"Is that really true?"
As of Tuesday, Pompey had sold 14,000+ season tickets (£369 for the Fratton End), so a couple of thousand of them travelling only twenty miles to see their new signings doesn't seem excessive.

I just went onto the Pompey website to see their ticketing system and the only seats i could purchase tickets for was block 2, so either they haven't made all the blocks available even though you can select other blocks or all other blocks have sold out and only block 2 has any seats left.
