This morning's Non League paper reports that Orient's problems are NOT over following the dismissal of the winding-up petition in the High Court last week.
The Leyton Orient Fans Trust (LOFT) claims that many other debts have not been settled and that the club's future remains "in the balance". The article talks of liquidation and further relegation.

Think this one could run and run,
reckon they will start the season, if not I guess we run with 23 teams (we would lose a lot in gate receipts but on the plus side makes it easier to finish in the top 7!)

When do Orient get their parachute payment? Did the owner use some of that to clear the first batch of debts last week? The issue now surely is for the National League Board to act this week and not let this drag to within 12-10 days of the season starting. The fixtures come out on July 5th, so Orient need to show they can operate in the National League on or before July 3rd otherwise they should be told they will begin in Conference South or lower. That in itself will cause all amount of problems with teams being moved late in the day, York City getting a reprieve for example, followed I suspect by Gloucester City returning to the North Conference so Orient can play in the South sector.

Without cast iron assurances they can pay their bills, they shouldn't be allowed to start in the national structure at all. In fact if they can't sort things out by July, I'd leave them out entirely and they can then apply again for next season.
