Can you just tell me the parts of my post that were factually incorrect?

OK 1. It was always going to end in disaster. Unless you are psychic a priority you can't know that (if you are can I have tonight's lottery numbers?) 2. Many of us can understand why you follow your club over land and sea (and Leicester!).

Sorry, there was so little English in that post Angela Merkel would have been proud.

I suspect Ms Merkel's English is better than yours. Would you like me to explain a priori?

By the way I cannot deny you think it is a waste of time and money - it is just that it makes you look like a sad depressed non-fan. I did not go yesterday as I had other things to do - but I did consider it. It would have been a chance to see an area of the country I don't know well and visit a ground I suspect we will not be playing at for quite some time.

"Visit an area of the country I do not know well" -so driving to a football ground, visiting a pub, watching a game and driving home is now considered sight seeing an area of the country is it and taking in its natural, cultural and historic aspects? What a load of rubbish.

If I go to an away game that far away I normally go for a weekend. Had a great time in York, Chester, Lincoln and Guisley over the past couple of years. Considered North Ferriby as could do Hull while it's city of culture.

How far are you prepared to travel to watch "your" team Willk?

To be fair that's exactly what I've done a few times ie spend couple of days in scenic areas. The footie just another event in the itinerary. If going to and bk in one day an hour's tops. Life's too precious to spend it on a motorway watching non league football

Of course have done a few long trips in a day - but they were all cup matches with relatively little notice. And despite us being underdogs in many of them I would not have missed Crewe, Bolton, Stourbridge or Swindon for the world - great memories. Did you make any of those Willk?

I did Swindon and Bolton, yes, very impressive nights. As one offs you're probably right.

I go to the away games to support my team! I work hard all week and my money will be spent towards a Away trip. I like to see new grounds, visit the local town or city and to get away from the noisy Neibours.

Just cannot for the life of me figure out why anybody would want to drive/do a 10 hr round trip to watch a meaningless game which was always going to end in disaster. Willk - I can't understand why you, as a season ticket holder, don't respect and congratulate away fans for making long journeys away to support the team they follow.

I gather we took around 75 fans yesterday for a game 250 miles away. We are on a poor run after a poor season & it was pretty much a meaningless game.
Given that it's a very decent number of fans to make the trip. Am sure a lot of clubs in this league would have taken half that or even less.
Serious credit to those that made the journey.
