Was wondering what people made of them. On the one hand they've obviously engendered something special in that club, their celebrations and togetherness showed the kind of amazing spirit in the club. Their animation through the game and hands on approach with the players also shone through however they also have a tendency to badger the fourth official from minute one and clearly are quite adept at gamesmanship of different kinds.

Think if we were challenging them at the top of the league I would despise them, however watching from a safe distance you can put it in perspective and see what they are doing and why. The players have all been schooled in exactly the same way, hence when tooth boy could have walked off instead of delaying the game for 4 minutes he kept on going down, Rhead was constantly in the refs ear everytime Stack got the ball and Angol was cheating the whole game but doing it right on the edge. Not sure the title race is over although Tranmere have a tough week ahead, will be interesting to see how Lincoln react if they drop behind.

Sounds like they're ready for League 2, then, doing all that!
Seriously, though, they've done a remarkable job at Lincoln, given that they last few years the club has been treading water due to financial constraints.
With a bigger budget to work with, the turnaround in one season is incredible, surely beyond most of their fans' wildest dreams.
I did say last summer we should have been looking at the Cowleys...
I think they're a bit 'Marmite' amongst opposing fans - I for one have great admiration for them - total professionals, with all that implies. They come across brilliantly on the media too.

I think professional is the word that comes to mind. They are like the British cycling set up in that they work for every little extra advantage they can get in every area of the game. Oh and they had total control of the officials yesterday. The linesman on the main stand side missed a few Angol offsides and was afraid to even give throw-ins because he knew everything he gave was going to be contested. Likewise the referee didn't want to give Eastleigh any free kicks in the second half, nor the red card that should have been shown automatically for the two footed off the floor tackle on Close which looked as bad as the leg breaking Neil Taylor tackle on Seamus Coleman. The clever thing is that when they challenge the officials they manage to do it persistently but without seeming aggressive which makes it harder for the referee to respond to, though he did have issue with one of the staff on their bench in the second half. You can see how they would have got a win at Premier League Burnley in the cup.
