You can tell we are playing much better - everyones started moaning about the off pitch stuff again (not that anyone can argue about how poor the website is!). What odds on a new thread about Car Parking popping up in the next few days!

I was told last week a new website will be up & running "soon". Mind you we were told at least 2 yrs ago that it would be replaced. Let's hope it is soon, can't disagree with any comments along the lines that it's not fit for purpose. A website should be a great advert for a product, our current one is not. I can assure you the new Supporters Club website is not far away from completion so keep watch for notifications.

And that's why football fans are generally the stupidest people on the planet. They moan like hell, think of a million ways to have their 'mini protest' but ultimately still go. Prices will never come down in football as every chairman in the country knows football fans can't do without it-it's a like a drug, their 'fix' and they will keep pushing the prices higher and higher knowing their 'customers' will pay whatever to get their hour and half of escapism every two weeks.

Think you are talking about the majority of humanity Willk not sure why you would break it down to football fans, unless you are just trying to get a bite and I wouldn't believe you are anything but a straight down the middle contributor to these pages :-)

Why are people still commenting on prices at D&R? It's not £21 for adults, it's £18, not much different from the majority of NL clubs. Some may have moaned about £21, but I don't recall anyone complaining about the lower amont. Those going to the game have decided they are happy to pay £10 to travel plus £18 entrance. If people are happy to then buy a programme & buy food/drink there, it's their decision. Why is it anybody's business what people spend their money on? Other than trying to get a reaction.

Parking at the ground doesn't appear to have changed much for next season - same price, a few more spaces, thanks to cutting down some trees (can I moan about them cutting down trees?). Nothing to see there, it seemed to work pretty well this season!
With away travel one has to consider the whole package - with Dag and Red, what you lose on the entrance fee, you gain on the cheap coach travel. £28 all in - your choice. If you want to protest against the entrance prices, don't buy food/drink inside the ground, and, if you can bear it, don't buy a programme!
Having said that, it cost £3 less than Dag and Red to travel up and and see our game at Brentford ;-) Hope we play better than on that day.....I expect we will, things have changed.

It's of course no ones business what football fans spend their 'hard earned' cash on. Just a thread about clubs trying to rip people off, which undoubtedly is what d and r were originally trying to do. Fans must protest against these things at all times otherwise nothing changes. That's how the £30 cap was brought in for prem away matches. People are actually really selfish if they pay stupidly high prices in any division as that just sanctions the clubs decisions and ensures that nothing will change.

D&R were in League 1 as recently as 2010/11. It would be interesting to know to what extent their prices have changed since then.

On the subject of the prices I think that the majority of clubs in the National League charge £15 on the day and that a lot of people travelling to away games have other costs eg food and travel, so probably an extra £3 is not that significant in the overall scheme of things.
I also think that some clubs may suffer a drop in income at times, and that reflect itself in their admission charges. OF course sometimes keeping prices lower can increase revenue in the long term, but clubs may not always be in a position to take that risk.
