Spirit another great post, are you on something at the moment :-) We need a manager on the up and who has a good tactical nous when Plan A doesn't work, not one who has no experience or one who is on the slide. Thinking outside of the box might also unearth players who we wouldn't have necessarily signed in the past, I like that idea.

SOE, Under my experienced success in the national league criteria:
Danny Cowley last summer would have been a contender (he had just done very well to take Braintree to 3rd). Ronnie Moore probably wouldn't (had only had half a season at this level 20 years ago) Martin Allen would of course - and partially for that reason I wouldn't have sacked him, but that is -quite literally- yesterdays news!
Its not an exact science with a new manager, MA seemed to fit the bill and I think virtually all of us were optimistic & it didn't work out. Similarly when a certain Richard Hill was appointed in 2012 I think most of us were underwhelmed at the time, and his tenure turned out rather well.
