With the release today of the last player to care enough for the club to give 100% on the pitch can anyone even see us getting back into the top half of the table by the end of the season?

Bit of a down in the mouth thread isn't it?
It was sad to see Greener go because he was the last of the Conf. South old guard and still playing well but, please, on wards and upwards.

Oh Ok - nailed on for the play offs we are! Anyone finishing above us will be deducted just enough points for us to leapfrog them

Think that might be a bit harsh on some of the other players, just because we are not winning doesn't mean they are not giving 100% or don't care. With the turmoil going on its not a surprise that form has dipped, we will finish somewhere in the middle (I hope)

I would currently prefer to think they aren't trying as the other option is that they really are as poor as recent performances suggest

What a pathetic silly post! A left back has left our club who isn't getting in the starting 11.

What's with this sudden surge of negativity following Greener's departure? Who'd have thought Greener was the only player to give 100% in any game? We still have Ben Strevens left from the Championship team, actually, for the time being, anyway. Cut MA some slack, please. Let him get on with his job & let's see how the team does over the next 6 games, I.e. to the end of Feb. Then, if things are looking bad, have a moan then, if you have to.

I think I said the last player not the only player to give 100%, I was referring to the last month or so's departures Greener didn't make a team and at the risk of a Hansen like comment "you'll never win anything with just one player" but did we have the team that wrong at the start of the season that it is likely that after 2/3 of the season it is likely that none of the players who started at home to Guisley are available for the away game.
Sorry spitfire123 you think its pathetic, feel free to scroll on by!

I ultimately have 100% trust in Stewart, and he Has 100% trust and faith in Martin Allen. So as much as I continue to hate seeing all these good faces leave, it has to be for the better. Because If SD is backing everything MA is saying and MA wants a squad which he is 100% comfortable working with and fit his play style then surely that is the most important thing. I'd rather see players all leave now than all leave in a years time after turning into flops by not working in MA's system or not being good enough for his standards. That's what I think anyway. But i will reiterate, I am really sad to see Greener, Jai etc. all leave.

As much as SD is great for this club he is the one that appointed CT and RM and sanctioned their signings, the very same ones we are seeing leave now because they were deemed not good enough.

I believe we will finish mid table and that with the nucleus of a new team and a few more exiting players we will definitely be in the mix next season. What's the betting that should we get a positive result on Saturday and again on Tuesday all the negativity will be forgotten.

EVERY game until the end of this season is about preparing for next season, three more wins will ensure relegation does not hit us so get to 50 points as quick as we can.....we are only 12 clear at the moment (Maidstone 29 points) from there I expect us to rally and finish about 8th/9th which given our season would be a good springboard for August onwards...we will be a force next season because we have a manager who will demand it from his team.

Do you think the previous 2 Managers didn't "demand it" then?

Nope..CT had no bottle to change the style of play having promised SD he would this season....SACKED...RM found traveling the main issue at his time of life...RESIGNED....club failed to do their homework before appointing him. MA right man for the job....take some pain now as SD states in his interview but moving forward MA will get our club moving.

None of the above addresses your original point re previous Managers.....I imagine there would be an argument that a CT team was still more pleasing on the eye than an MA team. Either way I don't think you can level the accusation at CT that he didn't "demand" top performances at all times from his players.
