I particularly liked MA's interview here - as he says, he's been very quiet since arriving at the Silverlake, but I thought here he was spot on in his assessment of things, and inspiring confidence. And obviously with some recent departures to offset the new arrivals he's starting to shape the squad. I also read the Echo interview which gave details about his 'heart scare' (which is presumably one reason why he can't join the fans for breakfast on Saturday ;-) and I found the last sentence rather interesting: “A win on Saturday would help that because there’d be lot of money if we were to get a result, but the goal is to see where we are in 18 months’ time.” Note the '18 months' time'. www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/15005683.FA_Cup__Eastleigh_boss_Allen_considered_quitting_football_after_heart_scare/

Yes, that's what I thought when I saw the video yesterday morning & I think it's what most of us on here would prefer to see. Give the FA Cup everything & be proud even if we lose, but once we're out, start the rebuilding of the team for next season. OK, we still have a chance of getting into the play-offs but the priority must be to allow MA to build the team HE wants for next season.
One interesting aspect about the merry-go-round of players is that we started this season with 3 strikers, JC, MM & SW & they're still all here, despite calls for more strengthening in that department. And with Beano showing signs of returning to form, do we really need to sign any more forwards unless one of them leaves?
Later edit....Forgot Ryan Bird who joined just before the season started.

So is Coulson in the squad of 15 or not. MA didn't mention his name at all in the interview.

I know that Mark Childs was at Bridgwater earlier in the season, but do not believe that he played in their F A Cup game with Plymouth Parkway.

Josh Hayward was in goal for Bridgewater in their 6-0 FA Cup loss against Plymouth Parkway.

Agree with the above (checked it out last night) so it's Mark Childs or Graham Stack in goal. I think it probably will be Childs.
