He was our best player for a while and was running games but also has been picking up injuries. The last couple of games since being fit again he's been very quiet and it seems now that this move might have been on the cards as someone else has pointed out. Can't help wondering how much that might have affected the morale of RM and his staff depending on how much say RM had in the transfer situation. It's worth remembering that we played Swindon off the park at the County Ground without Drury and our performances with him back in the side have gone backwards. It's also worth remembering that there is a LOT of money at Ebbsfleet. I think we had a situation previously when Ian Baird brought in new players after Stewart took over, only for some of them to then get snapped up by other clubs offering them more lucrative deals. I often remind people about that when they talk about moneybags Eastleigh. Drury scored our second against Swindon !

Sorry to see him go (a player I've always rated highly) but I respect his reasons for moving on and can only wish him all the best for the future.

Reasons why he's gone are fairly clear from the EFC press release (to be nearer his family) & Ebbsfleet's Twitter announcement (it's taken a while to get over the line) so looks like it's been simmering for a while. Sorry to see him go, but at the end of the day if a player wants to go, we should not stand in his way.

Yes, absolute own goal from me there. It was Aldershot he didn't play at. In fairness we did get a scrappy three points there without him and we've been poor since he came back in. Overall it's a shame he is going but we'll see a few changes now as others have said.

Sad to see him go like many of us, was quite surprised to see he is 33, thought he was younger than that.
Players move on I guess.
Onwards and upwards

Shame - one of my favourite Eastleigh players - seemed to be adding another dimension to his game this season with that ability to ghost into space. Good finisher too. We'll miss him.

Just to let you know that Andy has been superb since he returned to us - a really classy player who could definitely still be playing at a higher level - cracking finish yesterday in our win at Maidenhead - always makes it look so easy and to have so much time on the ball. Dont think we've lost a game with him in our team - 16 wins and 3 draws in 2017 - probably still going to need the playoffs to join you guys in Conference National next season, as I cant honestly believe Maidenhead will fail again at Margate, but pretty confident that we will get through this year anyway - certainly deserve it after probably finishing at least 12 points clear of 3rd - and dont even get us started on the play off farce with Poole & Hungerford - we could end up playing Hampton or Wealdstone in the play off semis and they will be something like 27 points adrift - madness (although we all accept rules are rules).
