That's the second person this week to leave due to wanting to "be closer to their families". Is this the real reason or is there something deeper going on?

Just seen that. Terrible news, one of most dependable players. Not sure what is going on. For me central midfield is the area we are in most desperate need of players, even more than a striker.

Shocked at this one. Andy has been great so far this season.
Can only assume we are going to see a lot of movement over the next couple of months as MA looks at what he has available. Still the speed of this is a concern.

The Ebbsfleet statement says took a while to get over the line so don't think it is a sudden thing unless they are joking!

Andys form has dropped off a little lately and he gave the ball away even more times than Taylor on Tuesday. Done great things for us but he's not young and won't fit into a long ball game that will be played (not slating it,it could be successful) good luck Andy

All players are dispensible. If AD doesn't want to play for MA or he really does want to spend more time with his family, that's his business & so long as he has the agreement of the club then let him go. He will be replaced, gives Jai more opportunities. Not the end of the world.
Perhaps title of the thread should be Drury gone to Ebbsfleet.

He was our best player for a while and was running games but also has been picking up injuries. The last couple of games since being fit again he's been very quiet and it seems now that this move might have been on the cards as someone else has pointed out. Can't help wondering how much that might have affected the morale of RM and his staff depending on how much say RM had in the transfer situation.
It's worth remembering that we played Swindon off the park at the County Ground without Drury and our performances with him back in the side have gone backwards.
It's also worth remembering that there is a LOT of money at Ebbsfleet. I think we had a situation previously when Ian Baird brought in new players after Stewart took over, only for some of them to then get snapped up by other clubs offering them more lucrative deals. I often remind people about that when they talk about moneybags Eastleigh.

There must be a good reason why he's left ...to drop down a league/wages Play in the highest standard as you can.
