Yeah a really good work out especially for Cureton who will miss this Saturday because he's cup tied, took a while for him to deal with the low level he was playing at but once the first went in he was really impressive, he needs to be getting more than 10 minutes to make an impact for the first team.
Impressed with Keepers kicking from from level went easily over halfway between centre circle and opposition 18 yard box.
Only second time watching this set of young lads, really composed and confident in everyone's ability, which can only breed good results.

Well done to Wimborne who actually weren't that bad, didn't stop playing proper football and never turned on each other, keeper made a really good penalty save too.

One for Ray and the other EFC historians.
Has any player ever scored more in a a first team or reserve game?

Glad Wimborne weren't that bad; would love to have seen the scoreline if they had been! To be fair this league will not likely ever to have seen talent like JC.

Shame he's cup-tied - Saturday would have been the ideal time to start him.

Can't remember an Eastleigh player ever managing more than 4.
Though IIRC in the pub cup in around 2000 there was a 23-0 game at ten acres with one of the home players scoring 9 times.
Though of course that was Eastleigh sports and social club *cough* rather than Eastleigh FC.

It is interesting to note that on another thread people suggest bringing in a goalscorer with a good track record, when in fact the only one of our five strikers to make a significant contribution in first team games is the one with no previous track record.
Of our four other strikers two have previously made a significant goalscoring contribution to teams returning to the football league, one returning from injury was one of the leading scorers in National League last season, and the other has a record of scoring goals in the football league that few players can match.

Don't post very often but I was prompted last Saturday to put a reply to this. Anyway we are working on getting all these records into order at the present time. BUT
we do know that 31st December 1949 in a 10-1 Southampton Senior League victory over Esso (Fawley) Reserves - Swaythling Athletic's Percy Fuccio scored eight times.

Hello all
My name is Joe Fuccio and Percy Fuccio was my Grandad's brother! Looking to come along to a game sometime soon! Amazing to have someone in the family with a record like that!
Thanks.

I had a feeling I had seen Wimborne win a game at Eastleigh in recent years and a quick search turned up the Eastleigh 2 Wimborne 3 FA Youth Cup result from 2013. I think that might have been the one.
