Excellent signing. Hope those who threw their toys out of the pram about letting Evans and Turley go are more happy now. What a squad this club has now.

A signing that makes our defence more solid, have to say CT has done some very good business over the summer and its an impressive looking squad.

I dont think anyone threw their toys out the pram. With Turley we had no choice, it was his decision to leave. Yes a few of us would have kept Evans, but we didnt know at that time what was coming in. I felt Evans could be coached into being a better player, given his age and relative experience and ability. Personally i would still have kept Evans as he is a real utility player and make no mistake we will need people to "fill in" as the season wares on with injuries and suspensions etc. Although that said, now we have no transfer window, we can in theory, just go spend SD's money whenever we like...... That said, i assume it still means National league teams cannot sign FL players from clubs who do still have a transfer window imposed on them?, So i think we can only sign players from non league clubs, or players who have no contracts.
Cresswell is a top signing and will really shore us up defensively. A great talker/organiser too. I see at least 2 or even 3 leaving or going out on loan from next week.
