Flitney should start. He was excellent for much of last season and I can't see why you would drop an experienced keeper unless his form drops considerably.

He'll start with Flits but when Huddart gets a chance I think he'll take it and keep it baring any injury. Flits is getting old....time for a younger guy!!!!

Ross is 32, he's hardly picking up his pension! I agree there's no doubt Huddart will get his chance at some point but Flitney should start the season as no1.

I think it's going to be a hard choice for Tody to make, I dint think Arsenal will be to pleased if there keeper is here to just sit on the bench fir to long

Big call for Toddy to make but I reckon he will start the season with Flitney as no 1.
Huddart is 19, doubt he will peek as a keeper for 10 years. Can't imagine there would be many national league teams that would be happy to "guarantee" a teenage loan keeper the no 1 spot.
But it could certainly go either way & I wouldn't be surprised to see both play 20+ games.

I can't imagine there would be many premier league teams happy to let a talent go out on loan to sit on the bench when could be developing in their setup under top quality coaches. They must have some assurance clauses. Firstly, we do what is right for EFC, but if we are to explore this avenue further and build up a reputation as a place for top teams to send their youngsters, then we also do right by that youngster and the parent club. I'd be pissed if I were a youngster that went out on loan, didn't play, went back to parent club and then got released as my development was stumped.

Given that he plays for Arsenal U21 he has to be good quality so I would not be worried if he was between the sticks. As I said before when the chance comes he will take the jersey, I don't see both goalies playing 20 odd games each as Rendel mentioned, this isn't Shilton and Clemence who poor old Ron Greenwood could'nt decide on for his national goalkeeper....but one is young and one is old, you can't argue that fact, one is 19 the other is 32!!!! Flits is a brilliant shot stopper, probably the best in the divison unless Huddart is better? The worry is Flits kicking and that might sway things towards the giant teenager!!!!

Thanks for the link. Love the fact they left audio on the slow mo. Sounds like W(h)ales rather than Scotland. Also looked for a brief moment like one if the spectators was Boris!

Am sure Arsenal said to us you can have him for the season but we don't expect to find out he was on the bench for most of the season and only started in Hampshire Cup and FA Trophy games.

Having never seen Huddart play I don't have an opinion on who should start. As always, In Todd we Trust! One thing I do know though, I don't give a monkeys left testicle what Arsenal think - all I care about is us having the best keeper playing for us, wether that is Ross or Huddart, it is EFC that matters not Arsenal.
