Hi All
Having spoken with a couple of people lately the feeling is if we let you know in advance the type of work required with the volunteer work and the times/days that they will be carried out that will be usefull. Upcoming projects as follows:
Need a limited number of volunteers for this one and would like a specific skill set on some if possible. Please contact me at the club (023 80613361) or via kamor@eastleighfc.com to throw your hat in the ring.
Monday 20th June we will be heading to Upton park (West Ham) to pick up the items bought by Stewart, we leave around 07.30 and would like if possible some people who are able to disconnect and make safe Electrical and Gas appliances from the kitchens (there are quite a few so the more the merrier with these particular skills) It would also suit people who are able to handle some fairly heavy lifting. if anyone who had a van, pallet trucks, sac trucks we could use would make them available that would also be really helpful.
Current work taking place the Clubhouse is being repainted and next week we hope to start renovating the changing rooms, if you are handy with a paintbrush or have carpentry/building/electrical skills then please get in touch.
I will do my best to post on here when we are starting projects so anyone wishing to get involved can see. I would also like to thank those who have already helped it has been very much appreciated.
Finally a bit of what has been going on and what is upcoming. The Scoreboard you will notice from our social media post has been ordered and we are doing our very best to push the lead time to have it installed in time for the Funday July 9th but failing that certainly in time for the first pre season friendly. It is a 4m by 2m LED screen with full video capabilities.
We have also signed a deal to Radio advertise throughout the season with Sam FM that will see Sam fm get involved with the club advertising themselves as well. This we hope will help us kick on with improving our profile and attendances.
We are working extremely hard on the pitch this off season, we are trying a slightly different approach that we expect to see a significant improvement in the pitch throughout the upcoming season. Stewart has once again financially backed us and sanctioned a significant spend on some new equipment including a powerful tractor, rake and brush attachment and a terraspike all to enable us to improve root growth and drainage in particular. We have also made valuable connections with T H White and Stoneham Golf Club who have offered us some great advice. Stoneham are going to continue to support through the season and will write us a programme to follow.
Project just nearing completion is a 9m x 6m deck area off the back of the club house, this has been completed by Rob Smith and Brian Palmer this week.
Finally can I just ask anyone who is interested in supporting the club via any sponsorship or sponsor lead generation also get in touch with me. We have a huge workload at the moment and any help with this really helps the club no matter how small. We have something for every one. from the very small to big projects if you personally or your business would like to get involved please speak to myself or Mark Jewell and we can see if we can work something out.
The following smaller ones may be of interest.
Virtual stadium sponsorship in the programme for the season Square £10 Large square £25
Player shirt sponsorship Home shirt £150 Away £150 or Both £250 ( receive the shirt match worn and appear in programme for the season)
If you cannot financially get involved then simply posters up at work and spreading the word is always valuable and will aid us in our push to 1200 plus season tickets and our year on year improvement on average attendances.
We know we have a supportive and special brand of fans at Eastleigh Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Kenny
