As they beat Gateshead tonight on pens in the FA Trophy, now they will play Nantwich Town in the Semi Final second leg when we are supposed to play them on 19th March. Another Tuesday night in Halifax.

Its short notice but we could move our game at home to Woking next Tuesday to Saturday March 19th as they don't have a game either. It makes sense attendance wise. And give the pitch a bit more recovery time.

Please, no! I have a family thing arraged for 19th so won't be able to make a game that day. It must be too late to change the Woking game next Tuesday.

Well Barrow and Bromley are the only other two Tuesdays I can see, and they play each other on 19th so that's not going to happen!!

They would definitely regret doing that if the pitch turned out to be waterlogged on 19th March.

The Woking game was originally a Saturday, an opportunity to keep to that arises, a close derby match with a good attendance from away fans. To think it might be waterlogged on 19th March is a stupid notion to put forward, you might just as well say, Putin will nuke England that day so the game will be off!!!!!!

Our weather and our pitch both have a history and even if they didn't, you just can't expose the fixture to an unnecessary risk. I doubt if the league would allow the fixture to be rescheduled to a later date anyway.

Sometimes there is no logical thinking, tough game Saturday obviously, Woking Tuesday......could have been made better with such a switch to suit us....but oh no f Woking fans and our weather/pitch to an unnecessary risk!! What planet are you on?

My own view is that the best solution to keep the date as it is, but to have the 19th March as a back up in case of adverse weather.
I think that with eight home matches to fit in it is best to avoid putting matches back for a later date if we can. With the Halifax match needing to be rescheduled for midweek it might not be easy to find a mutually convenient midweek date if any further game is postponed, and at the present time our pitch is not in the best possible state to resist any adverse weather.

I see your point SOE but I disagree. As unknownquantity says above putting fixtures back is not great - especially as we are behind in games at the moment. 5 days notice is also pretty short notice to cancel a game many may have made arrangements for.
One other factor is that Woking are in really poor form just now so might be a good time to play them, specially with ourselves hopefully about to hit some form on the back of Tuesdays result.
We need to get some more points in the bag ASAP.
