Hmmm, does feel like this is a change that benefits the bigger clubs (ie. easing unwanted fixture congestion) whilst taking away from lower league sides, both financially and in terms of the drama of trying to force a replay to gain a big away day or bring a higher league opponent back to your own ground.

Capitalism. The rich do everything possible to ensure they get richer at the expense of the poor/less well off. However they could easily have left rounds one and two with replays as PL teams don't enter until the 3rd round. Non-league clubs entering the competition and getting to the first round need compensating for this greed, as do EFL clubs. Yeah, European Conference League, what is the point of THAT?

The European Conference League was deemed a resurrection of the 3rd Tier UEFA Cup which merged or pushed out the Cup Winners Cup pre millennium. It offers lesser clubs more chance of making money and giving glory days to far flung places they might only play one time at.....
Same as the FA Cup, but now that's over.
Any club that enters next season is a disgrace, boycott the whole thing 👍

I think to scrap them from the 3rd round on is wrong, i suppose fair enough if both teams agree in advance of the tie to no replay.
To scrap them in the 1st & 2nd round seems crazy, properly absurd. Think this may well be overturned.
As well as Newport, Swindon was a great tie, TV & then hammering them on the replay. i remember Stourbridge under the lights 3-0 with a Sam smart somersault. Halifax getting back at 4am, the list goes on.
This is ridiculous

Another nail in the coffin of football! 732 teams took part this year, but the selfish concerns of just 20 screw over the other 712!! If these cheating"big teams" are crying about too many games, I suggest they ban all these pathetic pre season exhibition kick abouts around the world, scrap the Johnstone paint European League and change the Champions (and also rans) league back to a straight Home & Away competition between just the Champions of each league! Alternatively they could all just **** off & not bother entering the FA Cup at all if they don't like the rules!!

The last day of the EPL season is 19th May.
On 22nd May Spurs are playing Newcastle in a presteige friendly in Melbourne.
Fixture congestion? Yeah right.

I can think of loads of great moments from cup replays through the years at the grounds or on tv. Not a fan of the modern idea of not taking the cups seriously. Terrible idea, bring back replays!
