Ironic that last time SD was here people were telling he should butt out & stay in the background. This time he has stayed in the shadows and is being accused of not giving a ****!

In case you haven't seen it, SD posted this on Facebook yesterday:
'It wasn’t the season we expected or wanted. We are determined to deliver a much better season for our fans next season. Your support has been fantastic. Our desire to deliver for you is stronger than ever. We are focused on building a squad, club and infrastructure that will enable us to progress. Thank you for the support this season it is hugely appreciated. Have a great summer and rest assured we will be doing our very best to put together a squad capable of delivering for us all.'

I think that Stewart has probably said that after each of the last two seasons he has been here and we have finished in the lower half of the table, but without Stewart we would not have had 10 seasons in the top flight of National League football with much improved facilities which is something many clubs in the National League set up can only dream of doing.
I expect that some people might be already thinking in terms of our prospect of winning the league or getting a high playoff position, but for me getting any playoff position next season will be a great achievement and anything above that is a bonus.
For me having began my association with Eastleigh football club and seen virtually every match both home and away from 1988/89 to 2013/14 and met several people in the Hangar who have also been also associated with the club for a long period I think it has been a bit frustrating that we appear lower down the pecking order than those who pay the £3 to go in to Sherwoods and may not necessarily have watched any football or have any interest in it. I do question whether the people whose association with the club began when they relocated from Sunderland and have responsibility for the corporate side of the club have much interaction with the people use The Hangar.
Although I have had reservations for much of the season I decided on the balance of things to renew my season ticket for 2024/25, but I must admit that I had second thoughts when I read the club's statement about F A cup replays it gave me second thoughts. I just felt the statement lacked balance and ignored some relevant points.
For the record I regard the abolition of replays for rounds 1 to 4 in addition to rounds 5 onwards as a step too far and have a tremendous appreciation of the heritage of the F A Cup both from first hand experience and what I have subsequently changed. I also think it was wrong for the discussion on rounds 1 and 2 to involve the Premier League none of whose clubs are involved at this stage and not the National League and EFL. However I do think that relevant here.
Some people might disagree with me, but I can certainly see some ways in it being beneficial for our third round tie with Newport going straight to penalties. I think that Reading initially put some of their regular first team players on the bench. If this was a replay with a glamorous tie at stake for the winners I do not think they would do so.
AS regards to Stewart Donald I think some people have the expectation that he can do nearly every job at the club well. I think it is hard for anyone at any club at this well to do that.

See Sherwoods will just be doing a £60 season ticket or £3.50 a game entrance next season.
No option for a ST with meal and free tea and coffee.

Think you getting confused with the Sunderland Netflix documentary. I didn't realistically that SD was at Sunderland, left then returned? Not sure it's me that's getting confused?

I assume your 'apparently selling well' is based on the club press release that was the first occasion this ST £60 detail was released.
I remember reading how Sherwoods with meal included was close to sell out last year, only for 5 games into the season there was a complete revamp of its price and individual game use because figures on match days were so low.
Of course you could have direct info, in which case that is very good news.

Yes, I saw it on Twitter - that's why I said 'apparently' ;-) Direct info from the club - me?
@eastleighfc Apr 22 Following high demand for season access to Sherwoods Player Lounge, there are a limited number of spaces remaining! 👀 We encourage supporters to secure their space soon to avoid missing out

Kelvin stays overall I’m happy with that imo the board could do with some football experience imo though (not RH)
