Can see what will happen, we’ll probably win the last few games and think oh we’ll keep KD and allow him and hilly to pick all the players. Bad start and sack him after 5 games. Ground hog day goes on… Richard Hill, who's not at the club, getting the blame for future hypothetical situations. Feel like I'm on acid reading this forum sometimes. The players are **** , no spine, no backbone, no character, wouldn't watch them if they played in my back garden. Worse at defending on home soil than Ukraine Slightly harsh there mate 🤣

I don't think KD has done anywhere near enough to secure him the role past this season. RH was let go because his tactics were wrong, he couldn't get the best out of the team, they are leaking goals & throwing away games. KD has come in & done EXACTLY the same. NOTHING has improved.

Sorry Callum Hill, I’ve got nothing against your dad. But I’m just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if he is doing something behind the scene, or has some sort of role at the club. No issue with that but we’ve got to get the recruitment process right otherwise we’re going to end up with as you put it more **** for another season Look back at my posts. I was one of the few who wanted Hill Out after most games. SD involving Hilly again would be his worst decision ever made in football, and he once paid millions for Will Grigg

Fair enough, I think I would agree. I think it would also put a lot of restraints on who we can bring in as manager as well. 4mil to be precise 😂

Really hope your fortunes changed, removing the manager after a string of bad results always appears to be the easy solution. Hilly in his first time round done a great job for you, then went off to Sunderland with Stewart & co before returning, great cup run this season but fell away in the league. Not complaining as your dip in form how coincided with our run to hopefully cement a top half finish, without the -10 we would have made the playoffs. Really hope things are sorted for the club and spitfires fans. The mission is on for Southend to win the league next season. Whose money will be spent at Southend? Takeover still has yet to happen

Takeover still has yet to happen Consortium have been financing the club since October in terms of ongoing costs, already paid approx 3mill in salaries, ongoing suppliers and improvements. The deal is being held up until the council confirm to Ron Martin & his company they can build houses on what was the plan for our new ground, this his gold at the end of the rainbow. Our new owners want to develop roots hall and that’ll be the plan it makes no sense in us moving

Sacking Garrard, yet keeping him in charge seems really odd in the middle of a relegation battle. Surely wait till the end of the season?
Still they won 4-0 yesterday so maybe it was a master stroke!

Agree it seems strange to keep Garrard on although I'd have expected him to have left at the end of the season either way.
They've got two difficult away games (Rochdale and Aldershot), then home to Ebbsfleet on the last day.
York are the ones they can probably catch (BW are three points behind with a game in hand, GD two worse), they are at home to Woking and away to Solihull.
It will be close, although I'm surprised they are where they are given the squad and where they finished last season.

I would have thought leave garrard in the job and then change it at the end of the season.
I see Wealdstone have just sacked their manager, seems really late in the season for a change! They have been on a pretty awful run so are in the relegation picture, they have 4 home games in 8 days (first in the national league?!) coming up including us at the end of that group.
At the other end of the table Aldershot are on the brink of “doing an Eastleigh”, 2 points from 15 has put what looked like a playoff spot, in serious doubt.

Something needs to be sorted, we've had one home win since before Christmas.. ridiculous.

Dorking Wanderers are virtually down after losing at Wealdstone tonight. 0-0 at half time, Dorking went 2-0 up but the Stones mounted a great comeback to win 4-2 under their caretaker manager.
Only Boreham Wood can relegate us now, and we're six points ahead of them (and a goal difference of +4) with three games to go.

Its a relief to have safety confirmed. I never seriously thought we'd come close to going down, but when it gets to April you just need to get mathematically safe, didn't need any far fetched last day scenarios with 6 results going against us meaning disaster happens.
Overall its been a disappointing season in the league. IMO this group of players can do better than our records suggests, I reckon we are 10-15 points light on where we should be.
So hopefully the squad can be improved a bit and we can be up in the top 7 next season. I don't think it necessarily needs a massive overhaul.
