Southampton ladies team are playing them in the FA cup on Sunday. It’s sold out. Could be a nice little earner for us?

I saw them play Tottenham at the Silverlake a couple of weeks ago, and the East Terrace wasn't opened. Therefore with an (official) attendance of 1735 it felt quite full. Hope it's all open this time.
Lots of people turned up early so the West Stand was packed. Very much Saints organising it (tickets were given only a cursory check), didn't think it was great, particularly traffic on the way in.
The match I saw was very one-sided as there appeared to be a big gap between Championship and Super League.
But it will be a chance to see Man United in the FA Cup at the Silverlake this season (sorry). Tickets were only £7 so not sure how much money we'd get out of that. Good publicity though.

Ticket receipts (I assume) will be split between Southampton & Man Utd.
I note corporate is on sale & added to food & drink for 5000 people I would think we are making a 5 figure sum out of it.

I thought the game was similar to the Tottenham game in the first half, but at the break Saints brought an extra player into midfield and put United under pressure. Fluke equaliser, United looked wobbly, but two goals in the last 15 mins won it for them. Good effort from Saints, especially in the second half.
Tickets were for anywhere so with a sellout crowd it was again a bit chaotic, both on the road and trying to get a seat/good view. Looked like Saints did the organising again. Several people were wondering why it wasn't at St.Mary's, but it was good to have such a match at the Silverlake.

Yeah I did wonder why it wasn’t at st Mary’s. Definitely one of saints biggest games of the season. Would have thought they may have got a significantly bigger crowd at st Mary’s.
Anyway am sure we were happy to host
