The reality is we have a squad that was built not to lose under the old manager. Once he had gone we have tried to change those tactics to a more positive approach. It has worked on occasions, but we really don't have the players able to play that way consistently - especially without our only regular goalscorer. This is going to be a season treading water until we bring in a new manager at the end of the season (I have said all along I believe this is the plan). I also have always said that I the fact that a club our size has consistently managed to hold our own in this division is a huge achievement. He was sacked in august yet Bradbury lives in your head rent free. Richard Hill was the director of football, this role meant he had a big part in recruitment and building the squad. A season of treading water is not good enough at all with the players that we have and the wages some of them will be on

Hill openly criticising the players, He set the team up, the tactics he chose the starting 11. Not sure that’s going to go down well in the dressing room.
He had a massive input in to the players the club brought in the summer, again same excuses from the management

I presumed the Manager told the DOF who he wants, and the DOF goes out and gets them/handles the transfers. You obviously know this isn't correct so can you explain how it works, and how you know this?

The director of football works closely with the manager to identify players that the club could sign. From there it is the DOFs job to negotiate transfers and secure contracts. I know Richard Hill has done this in the past due to him saying so at the fans forum in Sherwood's, when talking about securing a fee for Josh Hare to go to D&R and the Maghoma situation this summer. It isn't just a one man job sir. I'm not saying its not Bradbury's fault but RH deserves some of the blame as well.

It’s ridiculous to think the director of football doesn’t have significant input into transfers. I get that you want to support the manager bit don’t be daft

So we agree that hill is largely responsible for our summer signings?
I hope it works out but not convinced
