Woking brought about 250 down on a wet Tuesday night. Maidenhead is a similar distance. Let's see how pathetic our away support is. It's embarrassing.

I know there a quite a few going by train, I reckon about 150 will make the trip. I don’t think Maidenhead usually announce away numbers so we probably won’t have a definitive number.

As I suggested on another thread, perhaps someone should do a survey on people's attitudes to away games, what's preventing them going (there can be many reasons, some came up on that thread), and what would make them go. The club is doing its best with subsidised travel.
I can't take that long out of my Saturday even to go to Maidenhead, so I'll be taking in a local game this afternoon.
I admire fans who do travel though, and as for those to go the long distances.... hope those who go to Maidenhead enjoy the game and see a better Spitfires performance compared to Tuesday.

Decent numbers and decent support today, that wasn’t the problem with the game. Honestly don’t know what people are trying to achieve with posts like this, it’s often keyboard warriors who don’t go away that start this stuff as well. Sort yourself out man

Crowd was 1314 today which is above their average of 1276.
Also 100+ above the 2 Saturday local games they have had (Oxford City & Dag + Red) albeit well below their gate for Woking (1685).
Given their awful form going into this game its fair to assume there were a decent number of away fans at this game (as well as photos online which seem to show this!)

People choosing between heating or eating. Going to football is far from the front of people's minds these days. Club needs to keep prices low for home games, but maybe the fanbase will wake up to the fact that will mean less decent football possibly played at lower level. Its 5th division football ffs, no other country has professionalism to the 5th division in world football, maybe that needs to stop too to lower wage bills. If SD walks away tomorrow club is dead, what would people rather have?
