Woking have been the opposite to us this season, good start but have faded. sadly that didn’t last long. Felt we never really looked like scoring. Only injection of desire came when Rutherford came on. Thought Langston should have got MoM.

Strange substitutions, why we bringing Atatanga on for McCallum seemed so negative. Rutherford needs to be starting games he's the most positive forward-thinking player we got. Quigley is ****e more interested in getting into opposition pockets, then playing the getting hold of the ball. Hate to think who's going to get the goals with it looking like McCallum will be out for a while.
Maidenhead Saturday 2nd bottom whats the worst that could happen!

Same starting XI as Saturday, totally different performance, against another team in mid-table. We still look very much like a mid-table side to me.
I thought the only time we bothered them was in the middle of the first half, when we started to get stuck into them, and near the end when, as said, Rutherford came on and added an injection of directness and pace which we hadn't had for most of the game. Passing was again poor, too many of them backwards, their winning goal was thanks to a gap in the middle of our defence you could have driven a bus through. For most of the second half we didn't look as if we were going to to threaten their lead. MacCallum missed a good chance then got injured (hope that's not a bad one).
Agree that Langston had a decent game, Quigley battled away and caused them problems but the front three didn't link up so effectively tonight. Credit to Woking for stopping them. They were a typical Darren Sarll side - worked hard, tried to disrupt our rhythm, not averse to fouls and gamesmanship... I remember when Yeovil came here and did the same. I think the Cards overachieved last season and still have a bit of a hangover from missing out in the playoffs, I expect them to be at least top half by the end of the season, so I'm not amazed by this result.
Yes, Maidenhead have given some good teams some hard games recently so are not to be taken lightly.

Really poor performance - felt like the longer the game went on the less we looked like scoring. How Rutherford isn't starting is beyond me..... the two loanees offer nothing. I'm surprised they decided to award a MOTM to be honest, no one was worthy of it (I would have said Joe McD for a couple of important saves, but his distribution towards the end was awful)
Focus in training this week should be on throw-ins. Their goal came from us sloppily giving the ball away right up on the edge of their area (with only seconds of the half to see out), and I lost count of the number of times we gave the ball away in the second half from bad first touches or bad passes off throw-ins.
As said above, we look decidedly mid-table. Enough quality to be clear of any relegation trouble, but definitely not consistently good enough for the playoffs.

Pretty insipid performance. Didn't really create much at all. Especially disappointing as we have been on a good roll and scoring goals and Woking have been struggling.
Think we are going to need to change things going forward, can Alfie Rutherford do it from the start?
Quite liked the look of Luka Chalwell, would love to see him get a goal and hopefully that can help him kick on.

Late subs, **** subs. Enzo should've replaced quigley with Rutherford going rwb. What more does Oscar have to do to get into the side?

Dreary and disappointing performance, never really got going at all and barely tested the Woking keeper. Woking looked more lively, had more pace and energy in their team which closed us down and were generally first to the loose ball. We looked like an older team lacking legs. First half we were just about ok but switching off for their goal was a big blow. Second half we were second best and if anyone looked like scoring it wasn't us. Big worry now with Macca's injury as we offered little up front and after Maidenhead we have a run of fixtures against better sides. The substitutions were baffling, we need a goal, Macca goes off injured so we bring on Atangana, we then let another 10 minutes go and decide to bring on Rutherford who gets 10 minutes to change things! On this showing we are clearly a mid table outfit.

Really don’t get the Rutherford situation. From being the clubs best young player last season to now being given just a few minutes. Really doesn’t make sense. Don’t think it’s a lack of desire and from what I have seen he is one of only a few who show any king of grit and determination for the shirt.. He is certainly not here for the pay, unlike some of them as from what I understand his wages just about cover petrol to get to the ground each week. I don’t think it’s his attitude either, as is always one of the first to come and applaud the fans. For what ever reason, RH seems not like him, which in my mind is costing us points.

The fans like him, judging by the reaction when he comes on. I don't understand it either.
From RH's interviews, he loves Boldewijn, and he can play in many positions, but he seems to be first choice right wing-back at the moment. On the other side, Clampin I thought got off to a sticky start, but was getting better until unfortunately he got injured. Clements has come in and done quite well, he's solid on the left and is getting better when he gets forward. Not sure how long he's on loan for.
I think Rutherford was injured and for whatever reason, hasn't been able to get back into the side. He did come on for Clements last might but only for ten minutes and seemed to make a bit of a difference, even though he came on far too late, as we were chasing the game. Perhaps he'll do enough soon to convince the manager he's worth a starting place.
Not wishing to go back to it again, but Rutherford and Carter were two of our best outfield players last year, and look at what's happened to both of them.
Would be nice to hear about this from RH, but of course we won't.

Obviously not a great performance, I think we tried to do what we did v York but it didn't come off/Woking prevented us.....could have been a different story had McCallum's header gone in.
On Rutherford I think its probably just that Enzio is playing well, and both Enzio and Oscar are extremely right footed....I probably would have brought him on sooner though. Maybe Hill feels you need a left footer defensively for most of the 90. Looked hungry when he came on obviously wants his place back in the team.
Worth a try with Chalwell up front, with a bit of pace but apart from the penalty shout, he was muscled out a bit.
Time for Quigley to step up a bit with Macca out.

This season we have not had a really good win in terms of who we have beaten. The games we have won, we were favorites or the other team had ten men. We had great chances to get really good wins against both Hartlepool and Woking both teams had struggled coming into the fixture and both teams beat us. This shows me we are no where near playoff level and will be a comfortable mid table team this season. Which is massively disappointing. Anyway onto Maidenhead on Saturday where we have a great record playing at York Road
