I was just wondering what the capacity of the ground is now that the South Stand has been refurbished?

1600 seats behind the goal, 850 seats in other stand, terraces hold 2000 plus room for a few hundred to stand where there is no terrace or seats so just under 5000 I think.
Another way of doing it is to say Bolton (5025) was a sellout albeit we lost 200 capacity to segregation divide. Since then we have added 500 seats on one stand and lost 690 behind the goal. That all takes us to about 5000 as well.

Yeah I think approx 5000 which if we could get that or just under that on a regular basis would be a fantastic achievement. I was sat in the new blue end on Monday and looking around the the various stands and the immaculate pitch, it looked like Astroturf it was so manicured, I did feel really proud, as a 10 year or so supporter what a cracking venue we have. The character of the terrace one side, the good size stands (plenty of seats available on Monday so you can imagine if they were full) , the executive area at the clubhouse end, a really tidy arena. Just whilst thinking of the old clubhouse , looking towards it from the new blue end I was wondering if there was any scope or ideas as to what to do there in time? Would there be a way of extending the sherwoods end to go right to the corner? What would people think If that was an option? Obviously the history and character of the old clubhouse would stir up views, I was just thinking eventually maybe there are plans? The other stand at the side there were plans to put the second extension on so again maybe in time that would still be on the cards? All I know is at the moment it the stadium is fit for purpose so let’s have a great season and promotion push.

I'd say we need to look at how we accommodate away fans. I'm sure we are.
At the Aldershot game, the 615 fans looked pretty cramped, which may have contributed to their bad behaviour (and ensured that their singing was heard better than it otherwise might have been). It was even worse for Wealdstone fans. We might need to extend the away accommodation for even bigger visiting clubs. Also we may need to extend the gap between home and away fans. It looked difficult for the stewards on Monday.
All of which may actually mean the capacity goes down.

I agree with the away fans area, although just giving more of the terrace would suffice I reckon as it looked as if the Eastleigh fans terrace was kind of full but not too cramped (maybe anyone in that area could correct me as am just going on what I could see) Plenty of seats available as I said so n no subs it would encourage hone fans to try seats and a standard thing would be give away fans at least a third of the terrace and a few seats

Anyone know the amount of seating you have to supply to away fans?

Ground since redevelopment has always been beneficial to away crowd noise , especially as we don't really have a home end that can generate noise ourselves so separate sections have built up over. See Rochdale away as to how a low hoke attendance crowd can make a racket by all being together. But we've been through all that before. Good point about the clubhouse, can't remember the year it was built but I'm guessing it was THE original structure at the club many moons ago, it was probably past its sell by date going into the Ryman Leagues let alone now. I'm sure it all in hand

Other than a small covered standing area where the main Stand is now, the Hanger used to be the only structure on the ground. Changing rooms, Board room, office & bar were all in there.

One thing I don't understand is why they won't let anyone stand in the large concrete area where the Spitfire Grill used to be. I moved there at half time on Monday thinking it would be a great vantage point for the second half with Eastleigh attacking that end, but was moved on by the stewards and the whole area was empty the entire game.
